Choose by the movement you do most, not by an assumption that one configuration is inherently better. Honda assigns the bike handle to slashing medium areas and brush cutting scrub; it describes the loop handle for trimming beds and driveways as well as brush cutting. The same specification table lists one guard and a single-operator harness for the loop configuration, compared with two guards and a full-operator harness for the bike configuration; it lists a four-tooth blade as standard only for the bike version. No. Honda describes the UMK425 as a four-stroke machine that runs on unleaded petrol, so petrol and oil do not need to be premixed in the fuel tank. The engine still requires oil in its separate oil system: Honda Australia lists oil capacity as 0.08 L. What line, blade and harness fit?
Start with the full model code and the cutting head actually fitted to the machine. A part listed for a related UMK425 or UMK435 model is not proof that it fits every UMK425U suffix or head. Honda Australia describes a tap-and-go nylon head in the UMK425 family; line diameter and loading method should match that head.
Honda UK’s November 2021 parts list provides examples for its market, including 2.4 mm nylon line and these UMK425/UMK435-type replacement blades:
