Yes. As of October 7, 2026, Apple’s U.S. online store lists both HomePod mini for $129 and the full-size HomePod (2nd generation) for $349. Those are current U.S. storefront listings, not guaranteed future stock or prices in other countries.

Which HomePods can you buy now?

Apple’s U.S. store lists two models:

  • HomePod mini — $129: Listed in Blue, Yellow, Midnight, White, and Orange. Apple Support says this model was introduced in 2020.
  • HomePod (2nd generation) — $349: Apple’s current listing identifies the full-size speaker as the second-generation model.

Prices and available colors reflect Apple’s U.S. store as checked October 7, 2026. Listings can change, and they do not establish availability through other retailers or in other countries. Check Apple’s U.S. HomePod store for the latest listing.

How do the mini and full-size HomePod differ?

The mini is the compact option. Apple’s specifications list a full-range driver, two passive radiators, a four-microphone design, stereo-pair capability, multiroom audio, and temperature and humidity sensing. Apple’s HomePod mini technical specifications describe its hardware and compatibility.

The full-size HomePod is larger and costs more. Its listed audio hardware includes a four-inch high-excursion woofer and five horn-loaded tweeters; Apple also lists room sensing and Spatial Audio with Dolby Atmos. Apple’s product page describes its sound as “immersive, high-fidelity audio”—a marketing description, not an independent listening test. Apple’s HomePod technical specifications provide the model details.

#1 Best Overall

Both models support stereo pairs and multiroom audio, according to Apple’s listings. Specifications alone do not establish which speaker sounds better; that requires independent listening comparisons.

What should you check before buying?

Confirm that your existing devices and network meet the requirements for the specific model. Apple lists different Wi-Fi and iPhone or iPad compatibility requirements for HomePod mini and HomePod. The mini’s listed audio sources include Apple Music, iTunes purchases, certain third-party music services, radio, podcasts, news briefings, and AirPlay. Subscriptions and service availability can depend on the provider and region. Check the model’s specifications and Apple’s current compatibility information before ordering.

Is a new HomePod or discontinuation confirmed?

The official Apple pages reviewed establish current listings, but they do not announce a future HomePod model, a discontinuation, or a launch date. Apple Support identifies 2020 as the HomePod mini’s introduction year; that fact by itself does not confirm that a successor is coming. Treat any specific release timeline as unconfirmed unless Apple announces it.
