Godlike.Host offers modded Minecraft server hosting with one-click modpacks, a built-in mod installer and up to three free backups a day.
Holycube Revolution runs on Minecraft 1.21.1 with NeoForge. Install the MLDEG pack through CurseForge, allocate at least 3 GB of memory (4–6 GB is the published recommendation), leave OptiFine out, and keep every client on the same release as the server. For a dedicated world, use the separate Holycube Revolution-1.1.0_serverfiles release, complete the included NeoForge setup, accept the Minecraft EULA, and then connect with matching client profiles.
What Holycube Revolution is
Holycube Revolution is a vanilla-friendly, Create-centered modpack published by MLDEG. The project description calls it “HCR is a vanilla frendly modpack with Create and some QOL mods.” Its target platform is Minecraft 1.21.1 running on NeoForge. Create provides the main progression loop: you design mechanical systems, automate processing, and expand those systems into larger factories and building projects.
The pack is deliberately open-ended. There is no quest book directing you through a fixed sequence, so progression is self-directed rather than quest-driven. You can concentrate on a compact early-game workshop, build a large automated production line, explore with map and travel utilities, or divide responsibilities among friends.
What the mod mix is intended to do
- Create and its addons: mechanical power, processing chains, transport systems, and additional Create-focused components form the technical core.
- Storage and carrying: backpack and inventory improvements reduce trips between your base and resource sites.
- Travel and mapping: Waystones and JourneyMap make long-distance exploration and returning to established locations easier.
- Building and presentation: building-oriented additions and cosmetic improvements support projects that go beyond functional machines.
- Interface quality of life: sorting, overlays, recipe helpers, and related interface changes reduce routine inventory and crafting friction.
Because there is no quest book, the pack does not promise a prescribed list of objectives. Treat the included utilities as tools for your own plans rather than as steps in an official campaign.

Version, loader, and memory requirements
Version matching is the most important compatibility rule. The client and server must use Minecraft 1.21.1, NeoForge, and the same Holycube Revolution release. A profile that merely says “Holycube Revolution” is not enough if its pack revision differs from the server.
| Item | Requirement or guidance | Source and qualification |
|---|---|---|
| Minecraft version | 1.21.1 | Project listing, MLDEG/CurseForge, 2025 |
| Mod loader | NeoForge | Project listing, MLDEG/CurseForge, 2025 |
| Allocated memory minimum | 3 GB | Author guidance on the project listing; not an independent benchmark |
| Allocated memory recommendation | 4–6 GB | Author guidance on the project listing; not an independent benchmark |
| OptiFine | Do not install; the project marks it incompatible | Project listing, MLDEG/CurseForge, 2025 |
The memory figures are allocated-memory guidance, not a claim about total computer requirements. Your operating system, launcher, browser, voice chat, and other applications also need physical RAM. Start at 4 GB when the computer has enough free memory; use the 3 GB minimum only when necessary, and close heavy applications before diagnosing a first-launch problem. Increasing the allocation cannot compensate for a computer that is already short on physical memory.

The CurseForge app handles the mod files, loader profile, and version selection for you. Use the app rather than assembling individual mods manually; manual additions make it harder to reproduce the pack and can create a client/server mismatch.
- Install and open the CurseForge app. Select Minecraft when the app asks which game you want to manage.
- Open Browse or Discover. Choose the Minecraft modpacks category, then search for Holycube Revolution.
- Verify the publisher and platform. Select the project by MLDEG and confirm that the profile identifies Minecraft 1.21.1 and NeoForge before installing.
- Choose Install. Let CurseForge download the profile and its dependencies. The first installation can take longer than later launches because the app is building the complete instance.
- Check the installed profile. Open My Modpacks and confirm that the new profile is present with the expected game version and loader.
- Launch from My Modpacks. Start the profile through CurseForge rather than a separate unmodified Minecraft installation. On the first launch, allow the loader and mod initialization to finish before opening a world.
CurseForge also supports an Install/Open handoff from its website. If you use that route, the browser action should open the CurseForge app; use the app’s game-version and mod-loader filters to verify the same 1.21.1 NeoForge profile before clicking Install.
After the first launch
- Load the main menu and check that the pack reaches Minecraft rather than stopping during mod initialization.
- Do not add OptiFine or copy mods from another 1.21.1 profile into this instance.
- Record the exact pack release shown by CurseForge. Friends and server administrators will need that release to reproduce the same installation.
- Make a test single-player world before joining a long-running shared world. This separates a local installation problem from a network or server problem.
How to allocate memory safely
Use the published range as a starting point
Set the profile to at least 3 GB of allocated RAM. The project recommends 4–6 GB, so 4 GB is a sensible first setting for a normal client and 6 GB can provide more headroom when the computer has sufficient physical memory or when you run larger worlds and several other applications are closed.
Do not assign all of the computer’s RAM to Minecraft. Leave room for the operating system and the CurseForge process itself. If the computer has limited memory, test the minimum allocation with other heavy programs closed before deciding that the pack is unusable.

- The classic UNO card game builds fun on game night with a Minecraft theme.
- UNO Minecraft features a deck and storage tin decorated with graphics from the popular video game.
- Players match colors and numbers to the card on top of the discard pile as in the classic game.
- The Creeper card unique to this deck forces other players to draw 3 cards.
- Makes a great gift for kid, teen, adult and family game nights with 2 to 10 players ages 7 years and older, especially Minecraft and video game fans.
Symptoms of an allocation or startup problem
- The launcher closes during startup or returns to the launcher without reaching the main menu.
- The game becomes unresponsive while loading the mod list and the computer begins swapping heavily.
- A world loads but the operating system reports memory pressure when other applications are open.
When these symptoms occur, first close browsers, launchers, recording tools, and other memory-intensive programs. Confirm the allocation is not below 3 GB, then try a value within the 4–6 GB recommendation if physical RAM allows it. If the issue began after adding a performance or graphics mod, remove that addition and test the unmodified pack profile.
Keep the client and server releases identical
A dedicated server is not compatible merely because it uses the same Minecraft and NeoForge versions. The modpack release, mod files, and configuration must also match. Install the server files that correspond to the client release your group has chosen, and ask every player to select that same release in CurseForge.
The project lists a separate Holycube Revolution-1.1.0_serverfiles release for Minecraft 1.21.1 NeoForge. Treat that package as the server-side counterpart to the matching client release, not as a generic substitute for any future or older version.

Set up a dedicated server from the published server files
Prepare a clean server directory
- Choose the release. Confirm the Minecraft 1.21.1 NeoForge client profile that your players will use, then obtain the matching Holycube Revolution server-files release.
- Create a new directory. Use an empty folder dedicated to this world. Keeping the pack separate from other Minecraft servers prevents old mods and configuration files from being mixed into the installation.
- Unpack the archive. Extract the complete server-files package into that directory rather than copying only a few visible mods. Preserve the folder structure supplied by the project.
- Run the included NeoForge setup/start process. Use the setup or start file supplied with the server package and follow its prompts. The process creates or prepares the files needed to launch the NeoForge server.
- Accept the Minecraft EULA. When the server creates its EULA file, open it, change the acceptance entry as instructed by Mojang’s server prompt, save it, and run the start process again.
- Wait for a completed startup. Keep the console open until it reports that the server has finished loading. Stop it through the supplied shutdown method rather than closing the window while world data is being written.
- Test locally first. Join from a client on the same computer or local network before inviting remote players. This confirms that the server files and client profile agree before network troubleshooting is added.
The exact filenames and launch method can vary with the published server package. Use the included setup and start process instead of inventing a replacement command, and keep the server directory’s generated files together so updates and backups remain reproducible.

Bring friends online
Once a local connection works, configure the server’s network access using the instructions for your operating system, router, or hosting provider. Give friends the address and connection details required by that setup, and have them launch the same 1.21.1 NeoForge Holycube Revolution release. If a player can reach the server but is rejected during login, compare the exact pack release and loader first; a version mismatch is more likely than a world problem.
Protect the world before inviting players
- Stop the server cleanly before copying the world directory.
- Keep at least one backup outside the live server directory so an accidental deletion or failed update does not destroy every copy.
- Back up before changing the pack release, replacing server files, or adding any optional mod.
- Label backups with the pack release and date. This makes it possible to restore a world to the installation that created it.
Managed hosting versus self-hosting
A managed host can remove much of the file-handling work. VeryGames advertises automatic Holycube Revolution installation in its administration panel. That convenience is useful when you do not want to unpack archives and maintain a server process yourself, but an automated listing does not by itself prove that the current release matches your clients.
Best Value
Before paying for a managed plan, confirm all of the following in the provider’s current documentation or support response:
| Decision point | What to verify |
|---|---|
| Game and loader support | The panel exposes Minecraft 1.21.1 with NeoForge, not only a similarly named loader or a different Minecraft version. |
| Pack deployment | The host can install the exact Holycube Revolution release and, if necessary, import the published server-files package. |
| Compute allocation | The plan’s RAM and CPU allocation is stated clearly enough to support the pack and the number of players you expect. |
| Backups and restore | Automatic backup frequency, retention, and the process for restoring a world are documented. |
| Administration access | You can reach the file manager and console needed for logs, configuration, and controlled shutdowns. |
| Geographic location | The data-center region is suitable for the players who will connect most often. |
| Billing | Current introductory and renewal prices are shown before purchase, including any limits that affect memory or storage. |
Self-hosting gives you direct control of the files, console, backups, and update timing. It also leaves you responsible for keeping the process running, securing remote access, and troubleshooting network reachability. Managed hosting trades some of that control for a panel and provider support. Choose based on who will perform those operational tasks, not only on the installation button.

Build around Create
Create is the pack’s progression engine. Early projects can focus on turning raw materials into processed resources; later projects can connect multiple machines, storage systems, and transport lines. Plan space for expansion because a compact starter workshop can grow into a much larger factory once you add Create addons and decorative structures.
Use quality-of-life tools to reduce routine work
Sophisticated Backpacks and storage improvements help keep components near the work area. Waystones shorten repeated travel between bases and resource locations, while JourneyMap provides an overview of explored terrain. Sorting, overlays, and recipe/interface helpers make it easier to identify ingredients and organize inventories. These features support the automation loop; they do not replace it with a quest chain.
Set goals without a quest book
- Choose a first automated resource or processing chain.
- Design a storage area that can accept output from multiple machines.
- Mark travel destinations with Waystones and map important terrain in JourneyMap.
- Expand the factory with Create addons only after the core line is stable.
- Give each player a role—mechanical design, resource gathering, building, or exploration—then combine the results in a shared base.
Troubleshooting checklist
The game will not reach the main menu
- Confirm that CurseForge is launching the Holycube Revolution profile rather than a different Minecraft instance.
- Verify Minecraft 1.21.1 and NeoForge in the profile details.
- Remove OptiFine; the project explicitly marks it incompatible.
- Close heavy applications and confirm the profile has at least 3 GB allocated, then test within the recommended 4–6 GB range if physical memory permits.
- Undo any manually added mods or configuration changes and test the clean profile.
A player is rejected by the server
- Compare the player’s Minecraft version, NeoForge loader, and Holycube Revolution release with the server.
- Make sure the server was built from the matching server-files release rather than an older directory.
- Have the player launch through CurseForge so the complete profile is present.
The server stops during startup
- Check that the EULA acceptance was saved as requested by the server prompt.
- Run the included NeoForge setup/start process from the server directory containing the unpacked files.
- Restore the last known-good backup if the failure followed an update or manual file change.
- Do not delete generated world or configuration files until you have copied them; they may be needed to diagnose or recover the installation.
Players experience lag or long load times
First separate client memory pressure from server performance. Close other applications and verify the client allocation is within the published range. Then inspect the server console and provider’s CPU and RAM information, reduce unnecessary background workloads, and test with a small number of players. A managed host should be able to tell you the actual resources assigned to the instance; a self-hosted administrator should monitor the machine while the problem occurs.
Updating without losing a world
Do not update the client profile first and assume the existing server will continue to work. Select the target Holycube Revolution release, obtain its matching server files, and make a complete world backup while the old server is stopped. Test the new files on a copy of the world before replacing the live installation. Every player should then update CurseForge to that same release. If the test fails, restore the previous server directory and backup rather than repeatedly changing the live world.
