Hokko Spaces cannot be judged against a fixed PC specification yet. The Steam store lists the operating system, processor, and graphics requirements as “TBC” (to be confirmed), and it does not publish RAM, storage, DirectX, or other hardware details. Steam Deck Compatibility is also Unknown.
A developer playtest message says, “Works fantastic on the Steamdeck!” That is useful early evidence, but it is not a Valve Verified or Playable rating and does not replace final requirements. The game is unreleased, has no announced launch date or price, and is not currently available to buy.
Current answer at a glance
Hokko Spaces is a forthcoming single-player creative sandbox from Wonderscope Games Ltd, published by Team17. Its Steam page describes miniature, diorama-style world building rather than a large life-simulation sequel. You arrange objects in small scenes, alter the environment, and photograph the results.

Those answers are the practical limit of what can be known today. Any article that supplies a specific CPU, GPU, memory amount, disk size, frame-rate target, or launch date is going beyond the published information.

Hokko Spaces PC system requirements
The current Steam requirements panel contains placeholders rather than hardware specifications. Both tiers are identical in that respect:

Steam also does not currently list RAM, storage capacity, DirectX version, graphics memory, or a supported Windows release. “TBC” is not a hidden indication that the game has unusually low requirements; it simply means the publisher has not entered the final values.
Why you should not estimate from another game
Hokko Spaces shares a name and broad creative spirit with other cozy simulation games, but its requirements cannot be inferred from those titles. A small diorama can still use demanding lighting, post-processing, particle effects, or high-resolution assets. Conversely, an attractive scene can run efficiently. Until the developer publishes tested minimum and recommended configurations, comparisons with another game, with Hokko Life, or with Steam Deck hardware are speculation.

What the two tiers will tell you later
When the listing is updated, read the minimum tier as the baseline the developer expects to launch and play at an acceptable configuration, not as a promise of high settings or a particular frame rate. The recommended tier should indicate a more comfortable target, but the listing should still be checked for its stated resolution, quality preset, and frame-rate assumptions if those are provided.

Record the exact operating-system version, processor model, graphics model, RAM, storage requirement, and DirectX information when they appear. Requirements can change between a playtest build, launch build, and later updates.
Steam Deck compatibility
Steam currently marks Hokko Spaces’ Steam Deck Compatibility as Unknown. This is an absence of a formal store designation, not a statement that the game fails on Valve’s handheld.
The developer’s playtest report
“Works fantastic on the Steamdeck!”
This sentence comes from a developer Steam Community announcement about pre-release testing. It indicates that the team had a build running well enough on its own Steam Deck testing, but it does not establish a final retail build, a tested range of hardware revisions, battery behavior, text readability, or long-session stability.
Why Unknown and a positive report can both be true
Steam’s compatibility label is a formal store signal, while a developer comment is an informal report about a particular build and test setup. A game can run successfully for a developer before Valve’s review process assigns a label. Conversely, a pre-release build can change before launch. Treat the announcement as encouraging evidence, and treat Unknown as the status that governs a purchase decision until the store page changes.

What to check when a final build arrives
For a meaningful Deck assessment, look for all of the following rather than relying on the phrase “works” alone:
- A change from Unknown to a formal Steam Deck label.
- Reliable use of the built-in controls without needing a community layout.
- Readable menus and tooltips at the handheld’s native display resolution.
- Stable frame pacing while moving the camera, changing weather or time of day, and loading populated scenes.
- Consistent behavior after waking the device, suspending the game, and switching between areas.
- Reasonable battery consumption and fan noise for the intended play session.
Those are launch-build questions. The current developer statement cannot answer them in advance.
Can Hokko Spaces run on a low-end PC?
There is no defensible yes-or-no answer while every listed requirement is TBC. The game’s compact scene format may be suitable for modest hardware, but that is an expectation about design, not a measured requirement. Do not buy or upgrade a computer specifically for Hokko Spaces until the publisher posts specifications.

- Check the Steam page after the requirements fields are filled in.
- Compare your computer’s exact CPU and GPU models, not just the amount of system RAM or the brand of the laptop.
- Confirm that your operating system is supported and that you have the required free storage.
- If your hardware is near the minimum, wait for launch reports that describe the tested resolution and quality settings.
- If you are deciding between a PC and Steam Deck, wait for both the formal Deck label and final PC requirements instead of using the pre-release quote as a guarantee.
Integrated graphics, older mobile processors, and machines with little free storage are especially difficult to assess without the missing numbers. The correct answer for those systems is “unknown,” not an invented minimum specification.

What kind of game is Hokko Spaces?
Steam presents Hokko Spaces as a gentle, creative sandbox focused on arranging miniature worlds. The intended activity is scene composition: you build woodland corners or picnic spaces, place objects, and adjust the presentation of the environment.
World-building features
- Create small diorama-like scenes instead of managing a large open map.
- Change the time of day, weather, and seasons to alter the mood and appearance of a space.
- Unlock residents who wander through the scene and interact with placed objects.
- Use a camera mode with filters, framing controls, and focus adjustments to capture finished scenes.
That scope matters when interpreting performance expectations. Hokko Spaces is described as a focused scene-building experience, not as a full life-sim sequel with the same systems or content scale as another title in the series.

The listing identifies single-player play, Steam Achievements, Steam Cloud, Family Sharing, and full controller support. It also specifically lists DualSense and Xbox controller support. These entries describe the features advertised for the Steam version; they do not indicate a final Steam Deck rating.

Interface and subtitle languages
The listed interface and subtitle languages are English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, Brazilian Portuguese, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese. The listing does not, in the information currently available, promise voice-over support in each of those languages.

Release date, price, and availability
Hokko Spaces has no announced release date. The Steam page labels the date “To be announced,” and the game is not currently available to purchase. The developer FAQ says pricing has not been decided.
Steam provides a wishlist option and a way to request access when a playtest is offered. A wishlist is the most direct way to receive a store notification when the publisher posts a date or changes availability. Playtest access is not guaranteed, and a playtest build should not be treated as the final commercial version.
What not to rely on
- Do not treat a placeholder requirement as a minimum specification.
- Do not assume the developer’s playtest quote means the retail build is already approved for Steam Deck.
- Do not use an old price, a retailer listing, or a rumor as the game’s official price.
- Do not purchase hardware solely for this title before the requirements are published.
How to follow meaningful updates
Not every store-page edit answers the same question. For a practical update trail, check the page in this order:

- Deck status: note whether Unknown changes to a formal label and read any listed compatibility notes.
- Release information: confirm whether “To be announced” is replaced by a date and whether purchasing is enabled.
- Build context: distinguish a playtest announcement from information that applies to the launch build.
- Feature changes: check whether controller support, cloud saves, language coverage, or other listed features have changed.
Keeping those categories separate prevents a positive comment about one test build from being mistaken for a complete platform guarantee.
Questions to revisit after requirements are published
Once the publisher fills in the table, the useful comparison is not just “does my computer meet the minimum?” Check the gap between minimum and recommended CPU and GPU, the required memory, the storage footprint, supported operating systems, and any stated resolution or quality preset. For Steam Deck, compare the formal label with actual launch-build observations about controls, readability, and frame-rate stability.
If the game remains Unknown on Steam Deck but the developer posts newer testing information, record the build version and date of that test. If the formal label appears, use it as the primary store reference and treat older playtest comments as historical context.
