HMD’s 2660 Flip Senior Edition is a conventional button-operated phone with an unusual addition: inTouch’s Mary AI companion. The service is designed for older adults who want spoken conversation without installing an app, creating an account or navigating a smartphone interface. The phone includes five complimentary hours of Mary conversations; continued use requires a separate subscription.
What the HMD 2660 Flip Senior Edition does
Mary is activated through a simple phone interaction and is intended to speak slowly, allow longer pauses, remember personal history and maintain context between conversations. According to the product report published on 14 October 2026, Mary can discuss history, nature and personal experiences, tell stories, play memory games and recall details from earlier conversations.
This is different from a basic voice assistant that answers short commands. HMD’s wider feature-phone AI work includes voice controls for calls, alarms, the torch and simple questions, while the Mary service is specifically positioned as an ongoing companionship experience for seniors.

- 【Strong Adsorption】The inspiration of the silicone phone suction case comes from the adhesive force of the octopus. Each suction cup phone mount is 3.15 inches long and 2.17 inches wide, with 24 independent suction cups providing a stronger and more stable suction force, so you don't have to worry about your phone falling during use.
- 【Back of Phone Suction Grip】Remove the adhesive film on the phone suction cup and stick it on the phone case. You can then fix the phone on any smooth surface, which is very convenient. (The phone suction cup cannot be removed and reused after being attached to the phone case. It is recommended to attach it to a regular phone case, not a valuable one.)
- 【Widely Used】Our non-slip silicone phone sticky grip mount attaches to almost any flat phone case and make it compatible with common mobile phones such as iPhone and Android. You can shoot, watch videos or video calls in the kitchen, gym, dance studio, bathroom and other places.
- 【Capture the Wonderful Picture】Whether you are a TikTok creator or just like to share videos and photos, this phone suction cup can help you hands-free capture wonderful videos and photos for sharing with friends.
- 【Note】You can fix the phone suction cup on a smooth surface such as a mirror or glass. If necessary, wipe the suction cup with a damp cloth to obtain stronger suction. Before releasing your hand, make sure the phone is firmly fixed. (Not applicable to rough walls, wooden surfaces, and other uneven surfaces)
Price, trial and subscription terms
The phone comes with five complimentary hours of Mary conversations. After those hours are used, access becomes paid. Notebookcheck reported a price of €19.90 per month on 14 October 2026 and said the subscription does not renew automatically. Mobile-operator charges may still apply.
A UK HMD storefront search result listed a different local price of £16.90 per month after the five-hour allowance. These figures should not be treated as a global price: Mary’s fee is market-specific and can change.
| Item | Reported amount | Qualification |
|---|---|---|
| Mary introductory allowance | Five hours | Included with the phone |
| Mary subscription | €19.90 per month | Notebookcheck report, euro market, 14 October 2026; non-renewing according to the report |
| Mary subscription | £16.90 per month | UK HMD storefront search result; local pricing |
| Phone hardware | £79.99 | UK report, Cosy Black model |
The first-year cost therefore depends on the country, the hardware price, whether Mary is retained after the trial, and the customer’s mobile plan. The available reports do not establish a single worldwide total.

- SUPERIOR COMFORT — Unlike traditional circular ear buds, the design of EarPods is defined by the geometry of the ear. Which makes them more comfortable for more people than any other ear bud–style headphones.
- HIGH-QUALITY AUDIO — The speakers inside EarPods have been engineered to maximize sound output and minimize sound loss, which means you get high-quality audio.
- BUILT-IN REMOTE — EarPods with USB-C plug also include a built-in remote that lets you adjust the volume, control the playback of music and video, and answer or end calls with a pinch of the cord.
- COMPATIBILITY — Works with all devices that have a USB-C port.
- INTEGRATED MICROPHONE — A built-in microphone precisely captures your voice while you’re on the phone, taking a FaceTime call, or summoning Siri — so you’re always heard loud and clear.
Hardware and usability
The 2660 Flip Senior Edition keeps the physical controls and simple operating model associated with a feature phone. Its reported specifications are:
| Component | Specification |
|---|---|
| Main display | 2.8-inch QVGA |
| External display | 1.77 inches |
| Processor and memory | Unisoc T107; 64 MB RAM |
| Storage | 128 MB internal; microSD expansion up to 32 GB |
| Camera | 0.3-megapixel rear camera |
| Wireless and audio | Bluetooth 5.0; 3.5 mm headphone jack |
| Charging | USB-C |
| Battery | Removable 1,450 mAh; rated for up to 8.1 hours of 4G talk time |
| Protection | IP54 dust and splash resistance |
| Software | S30+ |
| Controls | Large physical buttons |
The large buttons, flip design and external screen are aimed at straightforward calling rather than smartphone-style browsing. The IP54 rating indicates limited dust protection and resistance to water splashes; it is not an invitation to submerge the phone. The 8.1-hour talk-time figure is a manufacturer rating, not an independently verified battery test.
What still works if Mary is cancelled
Declining the subscription does not disable the phone. The October report says the basic calling hardware remains usable without Mary, so the device can continue functioning as a conventional mobile phone. Buyers should still confirm network compatibility and any carrier requirements in their country.

Why HMD and inTouch are targeting older adults
HMD says the pilot is intended to support independence and wellbeing and to provide a foundation for a broader European rollout. The company announced the older-adult pilot with inTouch on 1 March 2026, while the later report documents UK retail availability; those are separate stages of the product’s rollout.
inTouch cites a demographic argument for the service, saying the number of people over 80 is expected to triple to 450 million over the next 20 years. It also says its report of 2025 studies found that engaged seniors stayed in their homes an average of nine months longer than seniors who were lonely or disconnected. The underlying studies are not identified on the cited inTouch page, so that nine-month figure is an inTouch-reported claim rather than an independently verified statistic.
“We bring sophisticated AI companionship to seniors through the most familiar interface imaginable: their voice, on a simple phone they already trust. We remove the barriers to entry so they can just pick up the device and enjoy connecting. We are thrilled to work with HMD to support seniors and their loved ones, driving deeper connection and greater family well-being.” — Vassili le Moigne, founder and CEO of inTouch.

InTouch’s 6 March 2026 launch announcement summarized the concept as: “One button. An average 15-minute conversation. An AI that remembers your story. We’ve turned the simple phone into a daily companion for seniors.”
Who should consider it
Potentially suitable
- An older adult who prefers physical buttons and voice interaction over a smartphone.
- A family looking for a low-setup conversational feature in addition to ordinary calling.
- Someone who wants the option to stop paying for Mary while keeping the phone’s core calling function.
Important reservations
- The ongoing fee is substantial compared with the hardware price, especially after the five-hour allowance ends.
- Pricing and availability vary by market, and the pilot announcement did not provide a complete European launch schedule.
- No independent hands-on assessment establishes Mary’s conversational quality, emotional benefit or clinical effectiveness.
- Mobile data or other carrier charges may be separate from the Mary subscription.
Bottom line for buyers
The HMD 2660 Flip Senior Edition is best understood as a simple 4G feature phone with an optional AI conversation service, not as a smartphone replacement. Its strongest proposition is reducing setup friction: Mary is accessed from the handset, remembers prior details and can continue working as a paid companion after the included five hours. The main decision is whether that recurring, region-specific fee provides enough value for the intended user; the phone itself remains usable when the subscription is not renewed.
