Hitachi Australia’s March 2021 product sheet gives the R-VX410PT9 series a total capacity of 375 L: 250 L for the refrigerator and 125 L for the freezer. Capacity definitions can vary by measurement standard, so use the current listing for the exact unit when comparing it with other refrigerators.

The sheet describes a top-freezer arrangement and a movable twist ice tray. Hitachi says the tray can be moved to make storage use more convenient; in practice, whether that flexibility is useful depends on what you store and how you arrange the freezer.

Hitachi lists external dimensions of 1,605 mm high × 650 mm wide × 720 mm deep. The same sheet lists a 614 mm cabinet depth without the door. That cabinet-depth figure is not the full installation depth: the door adds depth, and the product sheet includes a ventilation-space note.

Before ordering, check the current manufacturer or retailer documentation for required clearances and measure the full route from delivery access to the installation space.
- Measure the opening’s height, width and usable depth, allowing for the required ventilation space.
- Check that the doors can swing open without hitting a wall, island or nearby cabinet.
- Measure hallways, entry doors, stairs and turns along the delivery route.
- Confirm whether delivery, installation and removal of an old appliance are included in the offer.
What features does Hitachi describe?
The March 2021 series sheet lists dual-fan cooling, an inverter compressor, LED lighting, tempered-glass shelves, a movable twist ice tray and a Triple Power Filter. These are specifications and feature descriptions from Hitachi, not independent performance findings.

Hitachi says each tempered-glass shelf can support up to 100 kg. Treat that as the manufacturer’s stated shelf capacity, not a recommended everyday loading target.
Hitachi also reports that its Triple Power Filter removes specified odor components and cites a 99% bacteria result after 24 hours under a test by the Boken Quality Evaluation Institute. The sheet does not state the test year. The result concerns bacteria trapped in the filter under the stated test method; it does not show that the refrigerator sterilizes food or its entire compartment.

What do the energy and warranty figures mean?
An earlier Hitachi Australia R-VX410PT9 series sheet lists annual energy consumption of 308 kWh and a five-year parts-and-labour warranty, plus an additional five-year inverter-compressor parts warranty. These are historical sheet claims, not confirmation of the current energy label or terms for every BBK unit. Before buying, ask for the applicable local energy information and written warranty for the exact model, market and purchase date; check whether compressor coverage includes labour.
What do owners report about noise and reliability?
One ProductReview.com.au account concerns the R-VX410PT9 series in Brilliant Silver, not a verified BBK-specific test. The owner said the refrigerator kept food cold and frozen, then became noisy after about 18 months; the owner reported that a fan was replaced and the unit was quiet again. A single account cannot establish the model’s typical noise, lifespan or failure frequency. The page also contains a Hitachi response referring to a five-year warranty for purchases from named retailers, but that does not guarantee identical coverage for every buyer.
