There is no verified Hitachi-branded projection-screen lineup in the official materials available. If you own a Hitachi home theater projector, you can use a compatible third-party screen; the key is to match its aspect ratio and image size to your projector and room. For the PJ-TX200, Hitachi’s manual provides model-specific 16:9 and 4:3 sizing guidance, including projection distances.
Are there Hitachi-branded projection screens?
Hitachi’s official materials located for this topic document projectors and projector support, not a Hitachi-branded screen range. That means a screen recommendation should be treated as a third-party product category, not as a Hitachi-endorsed model. Hitachi’s support catalog lists projector documentation and home theater projector models: Hitachi projector support catalog.
For U.S. and Canadian customers, Hitachi says it stopped sales and distribution of its branded consumer products in 2020, with Maxell Corporation of America taking responsibility for Hitachi- and Maxell-branded projector and accessory support. This statement applies to those two countries, not globally: Hitachi U.S. Digital Solutions support.

How to choose a screen for a Hitachi projector
Before buying a screen, confirm the exact projector model and use that model’s manual. Screen size and throw distance are not universal across Hitachi projectors. The PJ-TX200 manual includes specific guidance for both 16:9 and 4:3 screens; its figures should not be applied to other models.
- Aspect ratio: Match the screen shape to the image format you plan to watch. The PJ-TX200 manual has separate 16:9 and 4:3 guidance.
- Image size: Choose a diagonal that fits your viewing distance and available wall space.
- Projector distance: Check the manual’s distance range for your chosen screen size, then measure from the projector’s intended position.
- Installation: Decide whether a fixed-frame, retractable, or portable screen suits the room and how it is used. Verify the screen dimensions and mounting needs before ordering.
- Room light: Consider how much ambient light reaches the screen. The cited PJ-TX200 manual provides size and distance guidance, but does not establish a preferred screen material.
PJ-TX200 16:9 screen sizes and projection distances
The following values are from the Hitachi PJ-TX200 manual only. The manual states that its calculated projection-distance values have a ±10% tolerance, so treat them as a planning range and confirm the installation against the projector and room. The listed 16:9 screen-size range is 30 to 300 inches.

What to verify before installation
- Read the model label on the projector and locate that exact model’s manual.
- Choose the screen aspect ratio and diagonal that fit your content and room.
- Measure the available projector-to-screen distance and compare it with the manual’s range for that model and screen size.
- Check the actual screen’s outer dimensions, mounting method, and usable image area against the wall and installation position.
- For a PJ-TX200 installation, allow for the manual’s stated ±10% distance tolerance and confirm the placement in the room before fixing the screen or projector in place.
