A “zero-cable” home office is really a setup with cables routed out of sight—not one without cables. The Secretlab MAGNUS Pro still needs a wall-power connection, and your computer, display, and peripherals still need their power and data leads. In a small room, measure the desk footprint and chair movement first; then use the desk’s under-desk tray, rear cover, and side-frame routing to keep visible runs to a minimum.
Measure the room before choosing a desk size
There is no universal small-room layout that the desk specifications guarantee will fit. Measure the usable area and the paths you need to keep clear before ordering:
- Desk footprint: Check both width and depth against the actual space available, including nearby furniture or doors.
- Chair clearance: Allow room to pull the chair back, sit down, and move without blocking a doorway or walkway.
- Wall outlet: Identify a reachable outlet and the route from it to the desk’s power column. The integrated power routing does not eliminate the wall connection.
- Access: Consider whether you can reach the rear cable cover and connections for setup and servicing after the desk is in place.
These checks matter as much as the desktop dimensions: a desk can fit inside a measured rectangle while leaving too little room to use the chair or reach an outlet.

Secretlab’s US product page lists two MAGNUS Pro desktop sizes. The measurements below are manufacturer specifications, not a room-fit guarantee.

Dimensions and available sizes are listed by Secretlab’s US MAGNUS Pro product page. The larger version offers more surface area by virtue of its dimensions, but whether that trade-off works depends on your measured room and chair clearance.
Plan the equipment layout before routing cables
Place your monitor or monitors, laptop or tower, and frequently used peripherals where you intend to use them before securing any leads. This helps you avoid routing cables too short or putting bulky equipment where it interferes with work or movement.

- Check the dimensions of your actual devices and the space they need on or under the desk.
- If considering a monitor arm or PC mount, verify the exact accessory and device compatibility before buying. Secretlab lists accessory options, but its product materials do not establish fit for every third-party device.
- Keep frequently used connections reachable so that a tidy cable tray does not make maintenance difficult.
Secretlab lists a height adjustment range of 25.6–49.2 in and three custom presets. These are product specifications, not evidence that a particular height will suit every person or workstation. The product page also lists a maximum distributed load of 265 lb and a five-year warranty; both are Secretlab-published US product details, so check the current local terms before purchase. Use the tray and rear cover to hide the main cable bundle
The MAGNUS Pro has a full-length cable tray beneath a hinged rear cover and an integrated power supply column. Secretlab describes the column as a “World’s first fully-integrated power supply column”; that is the manufacturer’s promotional wording, not an independently verified comparison. The tray and cover provide a place to organize and conceal much of the wiring, but the desk still needs to connect to wall power.

- Position the power strip and adapters in the tray where appropriate, keeping plugs and connections accessible for service.
- Bring device leads into the tray and route them through the rear-cover area rather than leaving a loose bundle across the desktop.
- Keep the wall-power route in mind as you organize the tray. Make sure the connection can reach the outlet without stretching or obstructing a path.
The manufacturer’s product page describes the tray, cover, and integrated power routing at Secretlab MAGNUS Pro. It does not establish a specific outlet count or cable-tray capacity, so plan around your actual adapters and connections.

For cables that must travel outside the tray, follow the desk’s side frames rather than letting them hang freely. Secretlab’s manual says, “You can route your cables along the Side Frames of your Secretlab MAGNUS Pro.” It also describes using magnetic anchors to secure leads beneath the desktop or near the rear cover. The magnetic cable anchors are sold separately, not included by default in the desk specifications described here.

Follow the routing instructions in the Secretlab MAGNUS Pro assembly guide and user manual. Once the leads are positioned, raise and lower the desk while checking that each cable has enough slack throughout the full travel range and does not snag or pull taut.

If you plan to use the separately available Secretlab Premium PC Mount, check your tower’s height and the space beneath the desk before mounting it. Secretlab’s manual recommends saving 78 cm as the minimum-height preset when using the mount with a tower taller than 44 cm, to avoid collision with the floor. Treat this as the manual’s specific clearance guidance, and confirm that the mounted tower has physical clearance in your own room. The assembly guide and user manual contains the instructions.
