Yes: the project’s creator is asking people to test The Problem Vault by logging one real-world problem and upvoting an existing problem they recognize. The web prototype is described as a way to collect frustrations, track their complexity, and help prioritize what might be solved next. The request is to try those two tasks and report what you expected, what happened, and where the experience was unclear.

What The Problem Vault is meant to do

In a DEV Community post, the creator describes The Problem Vault as a web prototype made for a Young Enterprise company challenge. It is intended to collect everyday problems from users, track their complexity, and let people vote for issues they think are worth prioritizing. The creator’s request is to submit a daily frustration and upvote a bottleneck that resonates before the team’s first meeting.

That description explains the goal, not whether the current application reliably achieves it. The available post does not establish whether entries persist, how voting is implemented, or how the app handles mistakes and edge cases. Treat your session as a test of the prototype, not confirmation that every feature works.

Try the two requested tasks

1. Log one real problem

Choose a genuine, specific frustration from everyday life: something that wastes time, creates avoidable effort, or makes a task harder than it needs to be. Then try to add it to the vault without asking the creator what to do.

Elebase USB to USB C Adapter for iPhone 18 Pro Max,USBC Car Charger Adapter
  • Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
  • Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
  • Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
  • Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
  • 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
  1. Before starting, say what you expect the “Log a problem” action to do and what information you think you will need.
  2. Find the submission action and enter one problem in your own words.
  3. Submit it, then describe what you believe happened. Look for clear confirmation that the problem was added.
  4. If you hesitate, cannot find a control, or are unsure what to enter, note exactly where that happened and what you expected instead.

2. Upvote a problem you recognize

Browse the existing vault and find a problem that reflects a bottleneck you have experienced or understand. Before voting, say what you expect an upvote to mean. After acting, explain what makes you think your vote registered—or why you are uncertain.

These tasks come from the creator’s request. They are useful because they test whether someone can distinguish a new submission from an existing issue, understand the available actions, and tell what the interface did in response.

Give feedback that can lead to a fix

A helpful test report separates what you did and observed from what you think should change. If possible, let the creator watch a few intended users try the tasks without coaching. Record moments of hesitation and the words people use when they are confused; then ask what would make them trust the vault or want to return to it. This is practical usability guidance, not a published result or formal testing standard.

  • Observed behavior: Which action the tester chose, where they paused, and whether they completed the task.
  • Expected behavior: What they thought the control or confirmation would do.
  • Opinion or request: What they liked, disliked, or would add. Keep this distinct from what actually happened.
  • Task outcome: Whether the tester could submit or vote and whether the result was clear to them.

Fix the most frequent issues that block a task, then ask people to try the same task again. Repeating the task makes it easier to see whether a change improved the experience rather than merely adding a requested feature.

Questions the post does not answer

The project description identifies submission, complexity tracking, and voting as intended functions, but it does not verify details such as validation, duplicate handling, editing or deletion, persistence after reload, voting limits, accessibility, privacy disclosures, or error recovery. If you explore any of these, report only what you directly observe; do not assume an untested behavior is supported.

How this fits the Young Enterprise challenge

Young Enterprise’s official 10X page says the programme is planned to relaunch as a refreshed enterprise challenge in Spring 2027, with existing DIY resources downloadable until then. That is programme context only: the available information does not establish that The Problem Vault is an official Young Enterprise tool or that its creator is participating in 10X.

A prototype is a starting point for evaluation, not evidence that the experience has already been validated.
