For smoother performance in Hellraiser: Revival, first compare your PC with the game’s published requirements, then adjust graphics options against your own resolution and frame-rate target. There is no verified best preset for every PC: an independent October 2026 test found markedly different results between 1080p, 1440p, and native 4K, and the game has no built-in benchmark. Its findings are useful reference points, not guarantees for every scene or system.
Check your PC against the published requirements
Steam lists the following minimum and recommended PC specifications. They are hardware and storage guidance, not a promise that the game will run at a particular frame rate or preset. Saber Interactive also recommends installing the game on an SSD.
| Component | Minimum | Recommended |
|---|---|---|
| Operating system | Windows 10 64-bit (22H2 or later) | Windows 10 64-bit (22H2 or later) |
| Processor | AMD Ryzen 5 1500X or Intel Core i5-8400 | AMD Ryzen 5 5600X or Intel Core i5-12400F |
| Memory | 8 GB RAM | 16 GB RAM |
| Graphics card | AMD Radeon RX Vega 64 8GB or NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 | AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT or NVIDIA RTX 3060 |
| Available storage | 80 GB | 80 GB |
| Storage note | Saber Interactive says an SSD is recommended. | |
These specifications are listed by Steam and Saber Interactive. An SSD recommendation and an 80 GB storage requirement concern installation and storage readiness; they are not evidence that replacing a drive will raise your frame rate. If you are short on free space, make room before installing rather than treating a storage upgrade as a graphics-performance fix.
What to do if your PC is near the minimum
Being at or near minimum means you should start with modest expectations and test the game at your intended resolution before raising quality. The requirements do not specify a resolution, graphics preset, or FPS target, so they cannot tell you whether a particular combination will feel smooth. A CPU or GPU below the listed minimum is outside the published baseline; the available benchmark does not establish what performance to expect from that configuration.

What the recommended tier tells you—and what it does not
The recommended CPU, RAM, and GPU are a useful comparison point if you are deciding whether to begin with higher settings. They still do not guarantee a particular frame rate, including 60 FPS, because performance depends on resolution, scene, hardware configuration, game version, and drivers. Use your own performance in a representative section of play to make the final call.
Which graphics settings can you adjust?
DSOGaming’s PC performance analysis, published October 10, 2026, reports adjustable quality options for view distance, shadows, textures, global illumination, reflections, and other settings. It also reports support for NVIDIA DLSS 4, AMD FSR 3.0, and Intel XeSS 2. The report does not provide a tested, universally recommended setting for each control or identify one best upscaler mode for every GPU.

| Option or feature | What the available evidence establishes | How to use it in a performance check |
|---|---|---|
| View distance | Quality is adjustable, according to DSOGaming. | If you need to test a visual-quality trade-off, change this option by one step and compare the same scene. The report does not quantify its individual FPS cost. |
| Shadows | Quality is adjustable, according to DSOGaming. | Test a lower quality level only if you need more performance; judge the result at your normal resolution rather than assuming a specific gain. |
| Textures | Quality is adjustable, according to DSOGaming. | Compare image quality and performance after a single change. No texture-quality FPS measurements are supplied. |
| Global illumination | Quality is adjustable, according to DSOGaming. | Use the same repeatable scene to assess any change. The report does not rank this option against the other controls. |
| Reflections | Quality is adjustable, according to DSOGaming. | Test one step at a time if you are trying to improve performance while retaining other visual settings. |
| DLSS, FSR, and XeSS | The report lists NVIDIA DLSS 4, AMD FSR 3.0, and Intel XeSS 2 support. | Where the game offers a compatible option for your hardware, compare its available modes at your target resolution. No universal mode or quality recommendation is established by the report. |
The guidance in the last column is a controlled way to evaluate your own settings, not a claim that DSOGaming tested the individual effect of each setting. The benchmark report names adjustable options but does not publish per-option FPS changes. Avoid assuming, for example, that lowering a particular control will produce a fixed number of extra frames on your PC.
What the performance testing found
DSOGaming tested a demanding scene from the first hour of the game. Its system used a Ryzen 9 7950X3D processor, 32 GB of DDR5-6000 memory, and 64-bit Windows 10. The tested graphics cards were Radeon RX 6900 XT, RX 7900 XTX, RX 9070 XT, GeForce RTX 2080 Ti, RTX 3080, RTX 4090, RTX 5080, and RTX 5090, with the drivers stated in its October 2026 report. The report does not provide a built-in game benchmark; its figures come from that selected scene and test setup.

| Test resolution and settings | Reported result | How to interpret it |
|---|---|---|
| 1080p, Epic | All GPUs in the tested set reached 60 FPS. | This describes the listed cards in DSOGaming’s test, not every GPU or every area of the game. |
| 1440p, Epic | The five fastest tested cards stayed above 60 FPS at all times. | The report does not support extending that result to every tested GPU. |
| Native 4K, Epic | Only the RTX 5090 remained above 60 FPS throughout. The RTX 4090 averaged 65 FPS and dipped to 57 FPS. | An average above 60 does not mean the frame rate stayed above 60; the reported RTX 4090 dip illustrates the difference. |
Those results show why a settings choice should start with resolution and the GPU rather than a preset copied from another PC. Even in the same reported test, the 4K result differs from the 1080p result. Your results can also vary with the section being played, later game patches, drivers, and the rest of your system. DSOGaming noted traversal stutters despite generally strong performance, so a high frame rate in one scene does not establish that every traversal or area will be free of stutter.
A practical process for finding settings that suit your PC
Because there is no built-in benchmark and no validated universal preset, use a repeatable comparison rather than changing several controls at once. The steps below are suggested troubleshooting guidance; they are not a test procedure performed for this article or a claim that any particular setting change has a guaranteed result.

- Check the baseline. Compare your operating system, processor, memory, GPU, and available storage with the requirements table. Note whether your system is closer to minimum or recommended, especially for the GPU you will use at your chosen resolution.
- Choose your actual target. Decide whether you care most about image detail, a steadier frame rate, or a balance, and use the resolution at which you normally play. Do not use a result measured at 1080p to assume what a GPU will do at native 4K.
- Start from a known setting. Pick a preset or quality configuration available in the game, then record it before experimenting. The benchmark reports Epic results, but it does not endorse Epic—or any lower preset—as best for your hardware.
- Use a repeatable section. Check the same scene or route after each change, as consistently as you can. Since the game has no built-in benchmark, a repeatable in-game comparison is more useful than comparing unrelated rooms or encounters.
- Change one quality option at a time. Try a single step in view distance, shadows, textures, global illumination, or reflections, then observe both smoothness and image quality. If the difference is not useful, restore the prior setting before testing another control.
- Consider upscaling if native rendering misses your target. The report lists DLSS 4, FSR 3.0, and XeSS 2 support. Check which options and modes are available in your game installation and compatible with your hardware, then compare them in the same scene. The available evidence does not identify a best mode or promise a specific FPS gain.
- Recheck demanding moments. A chosen scene may not reflect every encounter or traversal. If smoothness changes elsewhere, revisit the settings under those conditions instead of treating one good result as a game-wide guarantee.
How to choose a starting point by resolution
If you play at 1080p
In DSOGaming’s selected scene, every GPU in its test set reached 60 FPS at Epic settings at 1080p. If your card is among the tested models, treat that as a reference for that specific setup rather than a promise for your machine. If your card is different, compare it with the game’s minimum and recommended GPU tiers, then check your own result before deciding whether to reduce quality.

If you play at 1440p
At Epic settings, the five fastest cards in the report remained above 60 FPS throughout the test scene. That finding is narrower than “all tested cards exceeded 60 FPS”: it does not establish the same result for the rest of the test set, much less for every GPU. If your performance misses your target, test one quality reduction or a compatible upscaling option, using the same scene to judge the trade-off.

If you play at native 4K
Native 4K at Epic was the most demanding reported case. The RTX 5090 was the only tested card that stayed above 60 FPS throughout the selected scene; the RTX 4090 averaged 65 FPS but fell to 57 FPS at its low point. If you use another card, the report does not establish your exact performance. Consider testing upscaling or adjusting quality rather than assuming that an average near or above 60 guarantees a consistently 60-plus experience.
Stutters, updates, and what the evidence cannot answer
Traversal stutters were noted in the October 10, 2026 DSOGaming analysis, alongside its generally strong benchmark results. This means reported FPS figures should not be read as a guarantee of uninterrupted smoothness. If you encounter a hitch, note where it occurs and whether it repeats, then compare the same route after changing only one graphics option. The report does not establish that a particular setting fixes traversal stutters.
Saber Interactive says it expects post-launch patches for discovered issues. A patch or updated graphics driver can change behavior, so benchmark results dated October 2026 may not describe a later game build or driver. The available figures are tied to the report’s selected first-hour scene, named test system, GPUs, and stated October 2026 drivers; they do not establish results for every map area, hardware configuration, or future version.
AMD separately promotes FSR on its official game page. That is vendor information; the independent DSOGaming report also lists FSR 3.0 alongside DLSS 4 and XeSS 2. Neither source, as represented in the available findings, supplies a universal upscaling mode recommendation or a setting-by-setting performance table. Choose based on the modes actually offered to your hardware and your own comparison at the resolution you play.
