Puzzle progression also involves using the box on objects in the environment. The same object may be important because it changes a route, affects another mechanism or makes a safe path possible. Look for environmental elements that appear deliberately positioned rather than assuming every obstacle is solved with a conventional switch or inventory item.
Using the box as a progression gate
Because the Genesis Configuration is carried through the game, access to its functions is part of forward movement. A puzzle is not an optional diversion when it controls the route to the next area or objective. Combat: ordinary weapons plus three box powers

Why executions matter
An ordinary takedown and an execution have different strategic implications because the latter contributes to Suffering. When an enemy is vulnerable, the choice is therefore about more than speed.
