What is the story of Hellraiser: Revival?
Sunny activates the Genesis Configuration, and the act draws the Cenobites into Aidan’s life. A 2026 developer diary says the Cenobites tear Sunny in half. Aidan then discovers that her soul may still be recoverable, giving him a reason to enter the Labyrinth and confront the forces controlling it.
The Scarlet Church and Marlowe
The Scarlet Church is led by Marlowe. Its members seek contact with the Cenobites and want to use the Genesis Configuration to create what they regard as a debauched paradise. Their objective puts them in conflict with Aidan, but the group is not merely a background cult: its beliefs explain why the box is being pursued and why the Labyrinth becomes central to the plot.
Is it connected directly to the Hellraiser movies?
The game is inspired by the atmosphere, themes, and mythos of the first two Hellraiser films, but its plot is not directly connected to those films’ storylines. You do not need to treat it as a retelling of the events from either movie. It is a new story set in the same creative universe.
Clive Barker was involved from the beginning. Xbox Wire says his participation was intended to keep the visual style, motifs, lore, and character personalities authentic. That makes the game a new entry shaped by the original creator’s guidance, not a direct adaptation of a movie plot.
Is Hellraiser: Revival multiplayer or co-op?
