Short answer: the Standard Edition contains the base game, the Day 1 Edition adds a coloring book and sticker pack, and the Premium Edition adds those items plus hologram cards and a plush keychain. Preorder avatar T-shirts are listed for all three editions, but bonus eligibility depends on the retailer and remaining allocation. A separate Sanrio Shop/Online Shop limited set adds five character figures, an NFC card that unlocks a fruit costume, a mini mascot holder and an 80-plus-character avatar T-shirt bonus.
Hello Kitty Party Land launches on October 29, 2026, for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. The most important buying decision is not simply Premium versus Standard: you must first confirm the region, console version, exact edition name, physical bonuses and whether a preorder or quantity-limited item is still available.
What each physical edition contains
The publisher’s edition table separates the ordinary Standard, Day 1 and Premium packages. Treat the edition name as decisive: a retailer listing that says only Nintendo Switch or physical edition does not automatically include the Day 1 or Premium merchandise.
| Edition | Game format | Physical extras listed | Preorder or package bonus |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard Edition | Base game package | None listed beyond the game | Avatar T-shirts are listed as a preorder bonus |
| Day 1 Edition | Base game package | Coloring book and sticker pack | Avatar T-shirts are listed as a preorder bonus |
| Premium Edition | Base game package | Sticker pack, coloring book, hologram cards and plush keychain | Avatar T-shirts are listed as a preorder bonus |
Standard Edition
Standard is the straightforward physical purchase: it includes the game package and no separately listed Day 1 or Premium collectibles. The publisher table associates avatar T-shirts with preorder status rather than with the permanent contents of every Standard box. If a store advertises Standard after the preorder window, do not assume the shirts are still supplied.

Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Day 1 Edition
Day 1 keeps the same base game and adds a coloring book and sticker pack. Those are physical goods, so they should be present in the sealed package when the listing specifically identifies the product as Day 1 Edition. The avatar T-shirts remain a preorder bonus, not a guaranteed substitute for the Day 1 items.
Premium Edition
Premium includes everything listed for Day 1, then adds hologram cards and a plush keychain. The published contents are the base game, sticker pack, coloring book, hologram cards and plush keychain, with preorder avatar T-shirts listed separately. A Premium listing that mentions only a digital costume or a preorder code is incomplete unless it also identifies these physical items.
The Japanese package bonus and the Sanrio limited set
Quantity-limited mini mascot holder
Sanrio’s June 9, 2026 corporate release says the Japanese package version includes an original-design Hello Kitty mini mascot holder. Sanrio also warns that quantities are limited and that contents or specifications can change. The holder is therefore an allocation-based package bonus, not an entitlement that remains available for every copy throughout the product’s life.

Because stores can receive different allocations, read the bonus language on the specific product page and retain the order confirmation. A retailer may show the game as in stock after the holder allocation has been exhausted, or may state that the holder is available only while supplies last.
Sanrio Shop/Online Shop limited set
The Sanrio Shop/Online Shop limited set is a collector-focused bundle distinct from the three ordinary edition tiers. Its listed contents are:

- 5-in-1 USB-C Hub: Experience comprehensive connectivity featuring a Power Delivery input, two USB-A 2.0 ports, a USB-A 3.0 port, and an HDMI port. (Note: The USB-C power delivery input port is only for connecting an external wall charger to power your laptop and cannot power peripheral devices.)
- 90W Pass-Through Charging: Achieve optimal charging with 90W pass-through power to your laptop, supported by a total input of 100W, with the hub reserving 10W for operational efficiency. (Note: Wall charger not included.)

Note: This device is not compatible with Linux.

- A five-figure set featuring Hello Kitty, My Melody, Pompompurin, Cinnamoroll and Kuromi.
- An NFC special card that unlocks a fruit costume.
- The Hello Kitty mini mascot holder.
- An avatar T-shirt bonus covering more than 80 characters.
Sanrio lists this limited set at 11,000 yen in Japan, compared with a 6,380-yen list price for the ordinary package and download versions. The limited set is described as a Japanese Switch package. It is playable on Nintendo Switch 2, but Sanrio states that there is no Switch 2-only version and no download version of this set.
Do not infer that the limited set also contains the Premium coloring book, sticker pack, hologram cards or plush keychain. Those Premium items are not listed in the limited-set contents. If you want both the five figures and Premium merchandise, you would need a retailer listing that explicitly includes both; the published limited-set description alone does not establish such a combination.

Hello Kitty Party Land releases on October 29, 2026, for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. Nintendo’s listing gives an estimated software size of 3.4 GB and supports one to four players locally and online. Online play requires a Nintendo Switch Online membership.
The physical cartridge still requires a compatible Nintendo console and enough system or microSD storage for any required data. The 3.4 GB figure is Nintendo’s estimate for the software listing; it is not a statement that every future update will fit within exactly that amount.
Choosing Switch versus Switch 2
When a retailer offers both platform labels, select the one that matches your console and the edition you want. The Japanese Sanrio limited set is a Switch package that can be played on Switch 2. It should not be confused with a dedicated Switch 2 package, because Sanrio says no Switch 2-only or download version of that set exists.

- Flawless 4K@60Hz Video with HDMI: Delivers exceptional clarity and smoothness with its 4K@60Hz HDMI port, making it ideal for high-definition presentations and entertainment. (Note: Only the HDMI port supports video projection; the USB-C port is for data transfer only.)
- Double Up on Efficiency: The two USB-A 3.0 ports and a USB-C port support a fast 5Gbps data rate, significantly boosting your transfer speeds and improving productivity.
- Fast and Reliable 85W Charging: Offers high-capacity, speedy charging for laptops up to 85W, so you spend less time tethered to an outlet and more time being productive.
- What You Get: Anker USB-C Hub (7-in-1), welcome guide, 18-month warranty, and our friendly customer service.
For a standard, Day 1 or Premium product, check the platform wording printed on the listing and order confirmation. A store may use a single product page with selectable platform variants; verify the selected option before payment rather than relying on the page headline.

There is no universal answer to whether Premium is worth it. The right choice depends on whether you value physical collectibles, want the lowest-cost way to play, or specifically want the limited Sanrio figures and NFC costume.
| If your priority is… | Most suitable choice | Why | What you give up |
|---|---|---|---|
| Playing the game at the lowest listed tier | Standard Edition | It supplies the base game without separately listed physical extras. | No Day 1 or Premium goods; preorder shirts depend on availability. |
| A small physical bundle for a gift or activity | Day 1 Edition | The coloring book and sticker pack add tangible activities without the larger Premium set. | No hologram cards or plush keychain. |
| Collecting the ordinary edition merchandise | Premium Edition | It combines the Day 1 goods with hologram cards and a plush keychain. | It is not the five-figure Sanrio Shop limited set. |
| Obtaining the five named character figures | Sanrio Shop/Online Shop limited set | The figures, NFC card, mascot holder and 80-plus-character shirt bonus are listed together. | It is a Japanese Switch package, has no download or Switch 2-only variant, and does not list the Premium goods. |
| Ordering after preorder bonuses are gone | Any edition whose permanent contents you prefer | The base game and edition-specific physical items remain the clearest basis for comparison. | Avatar shirts or the mascot holder may no longer be supplied. |
When Premium makes sense
Premium is the logical upgrade when hologram cards and a plush keychain matter to you and the retailer clearly lists every item. It also makes sense for a boxed gift where the coloring book and stickers are useful immediately. The available facts do not establish a separate game advantage, extra player count or technical upgrade for Premium, so pay for it for the physical goods rather than expecting different gameplay.
When Standard or Day 1 is the better buy
Choose Standard when your priority is the game itself or when the Premium goods would remain unopened. Day 1 is the middle option for buyers who want a coloring book and stickers but do not need hologram cards or a plush keychain. Compare the final delivered price, because regional pricing for these tiers is not stated in the published information.
When the limited set is the right target
The limited set is aimed at collectors who specifically want the five-character figure lineup, NFC fruit costume and mascot holder. Its 11,000-yen Japanese price is for that bundle, not a general worldwide MSRP. It is not a replacement for a Premium box unless the store’s own listing explicitly says otherwise.

Prices and what is actually established
| Market or listing | Price stated | Qualification |
|---|---|---|
| Japan ordinary package version | 6,380 yen | Sanrio corporate release list price for the package version. |
| Japan download version | 6,380 yen | Same list price stated by Sanrio; it does not include the physical package bonus. |
| Sanrio Shop/Online Shop limited set | 11,000 yen | Japanese limited-set price; allocation and availability are limited. |
| North American Bandai Namco Official Store listing | $69.99 | Use the page’s exact edition and platform label at checkout; prices and stock can change. |
| Standard, Day 1 and Premium prices in other regions | Not stated | Do not convert the Japanese list prices into a worldwide MSRP. |
The 6,380-yen and 11,000-yen figures are list prices supplied for Japan. Taxes, shipping, import charges, payment conversion and regional retailer pricing can change the amount you actually pay. The $69.99 figure is a North American official-store reference, not proof that every retailer or every edition uses that price.
How to choose a retailer before ordering
- Confirm the country and console. Record the retailer’s shipping region and select Nintendo Switch or Nintendo Switch 2 deliberately. For the Japanese limited set, confirm that the listing is the Switch package and that you understand it is playable on Switch 2 rather than a Switch 2-specific product.
- Match the exact edition name. Look for Standard, Day 1 or Premium in the product title and contents panel. A generic physical-edition listing should not be treated as Day 1 or Premium.
- Read the contents line by line. For Day 1, look for both the coloring book and sticker pack. For Premium, look for those two items plus hologram cards and plush keychain. Save a screenshot or order confirmation showing the list.
- Check each bonus separately. Determine whether avatar T-shirts are included, supplied as a code, limited to preorders or already exhausted. For Japanese packages, look for the mini mascot holder notice and any statement that quantities are limited or specifications may change.
- For the Sanrio channel, verify allocation method. Sanrio describes online-shop advance reservations separately from participating Sanrio or department-store lottery locations. Follow the method used by the particular store; an online reservation is not automatically interchangeable with a lottery entry.
- Review delivery and return terms. Confirm the estimated ship date, whether release-day arrival is promised, who pays return shipping and whether opened software is excluded. The North American Bandai Namco Official Store states that unopened physical products in original condition may be returned within 30 days of delivery.
- Recheck the cart immediately before payment. Confirm region, platform, edition, bonus wording, total price, shipping address and return terms. Stock, bonus eligibility and delivery estimates are volatile until the order is accepted.
Japan-specific ordering considerations
Japanese buyers should distinguish two different purchase paths. Sanrio Shop/Online Shop advance reservations use the online store’s own reservation rules. Participating Sanrio and department-store locations may use lotteries instead, with separate application windows and pickup or payment instructions.
The limited set is not a digital download and is not offered as a Switch 2-only package. If a page presents a digital product, it is not the Sanrio limited set described above. If a page omits the five figures or NFC card, it is not safe to assume that the product is the limited set merely because it uses Sanrio branding.

The official Bandai Namco store listing provides a $69.99 physical-product benchmark and states a 30-day return window for unopened products that remain in original condition. Use that policy as a reference point, but read the live listing for the exact edition, platform, shipping region and any bonus restrictions.
Recommended Free Tools
Do not treat the North American listing as evidence that the Japanese mascot holder or Sanrio limited set is included. Those bonuses are tied to the Japanese package and Sanrio Shop/Online Shop information. A North American Standard or Premium box should be judged by the contents printed on its own listing.

Common mistakes and how to avoid them
Assuming every physical copy includes every bonus
The edition contents and the preorder or quantity-limited bonuses are separate categories. Standard, Day 1 and Premium have different permanent contents, while avatar shirts and the mascot holder can depend on timing and allocation. Verify both before ordering.
Confusing Premium with the Sanrio limited set
Premium adds hologram cards and a plush keychain. The Sanrio limited set adds five figures, an NFC fruit-costume card, a mascot holder and an 80-plus-character shirt bonus. Their published contents overlap only at the level of the physical game package; one should not be described as the other.
Buying a digital copy while expecting physical goods
The Japanese list price covers both package and download versions at 6,380 yen, but only the package version can contain a physical holder or other box merchandise. The Sanrio limited set itself has no download version.
Ignoring allocation language
Sanrio warns that the mascot holder is quantity-limited and that specifications may change. A product page that once showed the bonus may later remove it or mark it exhausted. Keep the final order confirmation and contact the retailer promptly if the delivered contents differ from the listing.
Expecting release-day delivery without a promise
Preordering does not automatically guarantee arrival on October 29, 2026. Warehouse location, shipping method and regional release logistics affect delivery. Choose a service that explicitly states a release-day estimate if timing matters, and retain the retailer’s stated date.
Opening a copy before checking return eligibility
The cited North American official-store policy limits returns to unopened physical products in original condition within 30 days of delivery. Other stores may have different rules. Inspect the edition and platform on the package before opening it if you may need to return it.
Practical recommendation
For most players, Standard is the safest choice when the game is the priority and physical extras are unimportant. Day 1 is the balanced gift option because the coloring book and sticker pack are clearly identified. Premium is justified when you specifically want the hologram cards and plush keychain and the retailer confirms all items. Collectors seeking the five named figures, NFC fruit costume and mascot holder should target the Sanrio Shop/Online Shop limited set, while accepting its Japanese Switch-package format and limited allocation.
Whichever route you choose, make the retailer’s listing—not a search-result thumbnail or an assumed bundle—the authority for your order. Match the region, platform and edition, verify every bonus, and check return and delivery terms before payment.
