There is no official confirmation yet that Helldivers 2 is getting a Premium Warbond called Scope of Authority on October 20, 2026. The official PlayStation Helldivers 2 news listing and the announcements checked through October 13 do not include that title or date. Treat social posts, listings, videos, and speculation as unverified until Arrowhead or PlayStation publishes a direct announcement.
What the official record confirms
The most recent matching official coverage found is PlayStation’s September 15, 2026 announcement for the Ironclad Democracy Warbond. That announcement said Ironclad Democracy would deploy on Tuesday, September 22, and provided a detailed roster of weapons, armor, throwables, capes, a booster, an emote, player cards, a title, and vehicle patterns.

That itemized announcement demonstrates how an authentic Warbond reveal is normally presented, but it says nothing about Scope of Authority. Searches of the official Helldivers 2 news listing for “Scope of Authority” and “October 20” did not surface an announcement as of October 13, 2026. This is a time-bounded verification result, not proof that the Warbond can never be announced.

Until an official post appears, do not treat a leaked calendar, retailer-style listing, datamine, thumbnail, or repost as a release notice. A real announcement should identify the Warbond by name and provide at least some combination of its deployment date, item roster, unlock conditions, and currency or purchase information.
What could be in the Warbond?
Nothing specific to Scope of Authority has been verified. There is no confirmed list of weapons, armor passives, capes, emotes, boosters, player cards, titles, vehicle patterns, or other items. No attributable quotation or statistic about this named Warbond was located either.
Ironclad Democracy is useful only as a format example: recent official reveals can enumerate several item categories in one announcement. Its contents must not be presented as Scope of Authority content, and details from any other Warbond cannot establish what this one will contain.
How Premium Warbond access generally works
Official announcements for other Warbonds provide general context, not title-specific confirmation. The Ironclad Democracy announcement says players need the base game, Super Credits, and game progression to unlock its content. PlayStation’s March 10, 2026 announcement for the Entrenched Division likewise describes a Premium Warbond as requiring the base game, paid Super Credits, and progression.

- Mediterranean Horror: Explore the forsaken capital of an awe-inspiring archipelago. Do not let yourself be fooled by the gentle sea breeze, the Mediterranean vistas or the comforting summer sun. Since the Devil's Fevers pandemic ravaged the city, it was abandoned, and now only horrific nightmares await there.
- Survive your Nemesis: Someone is relentlessly hunting you. Suffer and agonize while you try to run away from the encounters with this strange stalker obsessed with you.
- Intense Challenges: Solve environmental riddles, physics puzzles and other similar challenges in an interconnected vertical world. Even while being chased and hunted.
- Accessibility and Photomode: Tweak more than 20 Accessibility settings to create a tailored experience for you. Use the Photomode to make perfect shots and unlock many secrets using it.
Those examples do not establish Scope of Authority’s price, Super Credit cost, free access, page count, unlock requirements, or progression rules. Wait for a dedicated announcement before budgeting currency or assuming that an existing account will meet the requirements.
Refund information for players who buy in-game content
Arrowhead Player Support’s page updated October 7, 2026 describes conditional refunds for in-game items:
- Eligible in-game item purchases must have been made within the previous seven days.
- A Warbond refund is possible only when nothing has been purchased on that Warbond.
- The policy allows three separate refunds per year, with each refund covering up to three items.
- Refunds for the full game and for Super Credit purchases are handled through the relevant platform rather than this in-game-item process.
These terms are policy information, not confirmation that Scope of Authority exists. Refund rules can change, so check the current support page and your platform’s rules before submitting a request.

What to watch for next
- Check the official Helldivers 2 news feed and Arrowhead communications for a post that names Scope of Authority directly.
- Confirm that the post states a date, rather than relying on a headline or repost that supplies one.
- Look for the complete item roster and any stated Super Credit or progression requirements.
- Verify that availability applies to your platform and region before spending currency.
If an official announcement appears, those details can be compared with other Warbonds. Until then, the only accurate answer to “When does Scope of Authority come out?” is that October 20, 2026 has not been confirmed by the official sources checked through October 13.
