Hell Is Us update 1.8 reportedly arrived on October 8, 2026, adding 10 Hollow Walkers and fixing several bugs, including a save-system memory corruption issue. The update’s arrival coincided with the game’s Nintendo Switch 2 launch, according to a report published the next day.

PlayStation LifeStyle’s October 9, 2026 report says update 1.8 adds 10 new Hollow Walkers. It does not describe a new story chapter or expansion, so the reported headline-making addition is a group of new enemies rather than a major narrative release.

How does the update fit the game?
Nacon describes Hell Is Us as a solo, third-person action-adventure built around melee combat and exploration. Players explore the semi-open world of Hadea, where supernatural creatures appear amid civil conflict. A drone and specially made swords, spears, and axes are in-game tools for exploration and combat; Nacon says the game has no multiplayer or co-op mode.

The standard edition launched on September 4, 2025. Nacon’s FAQ lists an earlier September 1, 2025 early unlock for the Deluxe Edition. The game’s creative director, Jonathan Jacques-Belletête, described its central theme as “a perpetual cycle” of human violence fueled by human emotions and passions.
What do the PlayStation Plus and Switch 2 timing mean?
PlayStation LifeStyle described Hell Is Us as an August 2026 PlayStation Plus action game and said the 1.8 update arrived alongside the Nintendo Switch 2 launch. Its report does not specify the PlayStation Plus subscription tier or which regions had the game in their catalog, so availability should not be assumed to be the same for every subscriber.

The October 9 report also said Nacon announced that Hell Is Us had surpassed 2 million players. PlayStation LifeStyle attributed that milestone to a Nacon press release; the original release was not available to verify independently.
