The Dimensity 6020 is the stronger choice on paper and in the published benchmark comparisons. It has newer Cortex-A76 performance cores, faster listed memory, UFS 2.2 storage and 5G support. The Helio P95 is limited to 4G LTE. Actual speed, gaming and battery life still depend on the phone built around each chip.

Which processor is faster?
The Dimensity 6020 has the architectural advantage: its two performance cores are Cortex-A76 rather than the Helio P95’s Cortex-A75, while both chips have six Cortex-A55 efficiency cores. Third-party benchmark comparisons also favor the 6020, though the scores come from different devices and are not a controlled test of identical phones.
Published scores from 91mobiles
91mobiles reports AnTuTu scores of 224,603 for the Helio P95 and 403,481 for the Dimensity 6020. It describes those AnTuTu figures as the highest recorded for devices using each chipset. The page also reports Geekbench scores of 404 versus 708 in single-core and 1,486 versus 1,862 in multi-core. The year is not stated on the retrieved page, and these results are device-tested rather than a matched-device comparison. See the 91mobiles comparison.

TopCPU reports AnTuTu 10 scores of 301,054 for the Helio P95 and 423,261 for the Dimensity 6020. Its Geekbench 6 figures are 456 versus 732 single-core and 1,555 versus 1,941 multi-core. The year is not stated, and the retrieved comparison does not establish that the tested phones, cooling, software or conditions were identical. See TopCPU’s comparison.
The scores should be read as directional evidence, not promises of a particular result from a phone. AnTuTu and Geekbench versions differ between the sources, and handset design can change measured performance. Sustained gaming, heat, battery life and everyday responsiveness are properties of the complete phone as well as its processor.

What the difference means for 5G, gaming and everyday use
5G connectivity
The Dimensity 6020 supports 5G as well as 4G; the Helio P95 is a 4G LTE platform. MediaTek lists LTE Cat-12 downlink and Cat-13 uplink for the P95, and a 2.77Gbps peak download speed for the 6020. Those platform figures do not establish the bands available on a particular phone or the speed a carrier will deliver. Check the handset’s regional model and supported bands against your carrier before buying.

Gaming and graphics
The chips use different GPUs: PowerVR GM 9446 in the P95 and Mali-G57 MC2 in the 6020. The specifications alone do not establish a dependable frame-rate comparison. Game performance also depends on the phone’s cooling, software, screen resolution and the game’s settings. The benchmark results above support a general performance advantage for the 6020, but they are not gaming tests.

App loading and multitasking
The 6020 lists LPDDR4x memory up to 2133MHz and two-lane UFS 2.2 storage; the P95 lists memory up to 1866MHz and UFS 2.1. These differences favor the 6020 on paper, but the specifications do not guarantee that a specific 6020 phone will feel faster than every P95 phone. Compare the actual handsets’ RAM and storage capacities as well as their chipsets.
Display and camera capabilities
Both platforms list support for displays up to 2520 × 1080 and cameras up to 64MP, so those headline limits do not distinguish them much. MediaTek lists up to 90Hz refresh on the Dimensity 6020, with 120Hz optional. A phone’s actual panel and camera hardware are chosen by its manufacturer; platform support does not guarantee a particular screen or image quality.

Which one should you choose?
- Choose a Dimensity 6020 phone if you need 5G or are comparing otherwise similar phones and want the newer performance cores, faster listed memory and UFS 2.2 storage.
- Consider a Helio P95 phone if 4G meets your needs and the overall handset is a better fit for price, condition, software support, battery or other features. Its chipset alone does not make an older or cheaper phone the better purchase.
- Compare the full phone, not just the processor name. Check its memory and storage configuration, network compatibility, software support, battery condition, cooling, display and camera implementation. These can affect ownership more than a chipset label.
