The Exynos 1330 is the stronger overall chipset on the specifications and benchmark figures available: it has newer CPU cores, 5G connectivity and higher displayed results in the cited benchmark comparison. The Helio G85 is a 4G chipset with an older CPU design. These figures compare chipsets across different phones, however—not identical devices under controlled conditions—so use them as a guide rather than a guarantee of how a particular phone will perform.
Helio G85 vs Exynos 1330: specification comparison
The Exynos 1330 has a newer CPU arrangement and a more advanced stated manufacturing process. The Helio G85’s principal distinction is that it is a 4G platform; the Exynos 1330 includes a sub-6 GHz 5G modem.
| Specification | MediaTek Helio G85 | Samsung Exynos 1330 |
|---|---|---|
| CPU | 2 Cortex-A75 cores up to 2 GHz; 6 Cortex-A55 cores up to 1.8 GHz | 2 Cortex-A78 cores up to 2.4 GHz; 6 Cortex-A55 cores up to 2 GHz |
| Graphics | Arm Mali-G52 MC2; MediaTek lists up to 1 GHz | Mali-G68; NanoReview lists Mali-G68 MP2 at 949 MHz |
| Manufacturing process | 12 nm, according to NanoReview | 5 nm EUV, according to Samsung |
| Memory | LPDDR4x, up to 8 GB, according to MediaTek | LPDDR5, up to 8 GB, according to NanoReview |
| Storage | eMMC 5.1 | UFS 2.2 or UFS 3.1, according to NanoReview |
| Cellular connectivity | 4G LTE; Cat-7 downlink and Cat-13 uplink, according to MediaTek | Integrated sub-6 GHz 5G modem; Samsung lists up to 2.55 Gbps download and 1.28 Gbps upload |
| Video | 2K encoding and playback at 30 fps, according to MediaTek | 4K video recording up to 30 fps, according to Samsung |
Manufacturer figures are best read as stated platform capabilities, not a promise that every phone exposes every feature. Samsung’s product page identifies the Exynos 1330’s 5G modem and 5 nm EUV process; several detailed Exynos CPU and memory entries above come from NanoReview’s comparison table rather than Samsung’s rendered specifications. See MediaTek’s Helio G85 specifications, Samsung’s Exynos 1330 page, and NanoReview’s comparison.

| Benchmark | Exynos 1330 | Helio G85 |
|---|---|---|
| AnTuTu 11 | 607,137 | 346,495 |
| Geekbench 6 single-core | 952 | 420 |
| Geekbench 6 multi-core | 1,963 | 1,364 |
| 3DMark Steel Nomad Light | 139 | 80 |
| PCMark 3.0 | 11,711 | 8,539 |
The benchmark entries also rely on uneven sample bases: the page reports 19 AnTuTu 11 samples for Exynos 1330 and 55 for Helio G85; 8 Geekbench 6 CPU samples and 33, respectively; and three phone models for Exynos 1330’s PCMark entry versus 20 for Helio G85. Phone model, software, cooling, test conditions and benchmark version can all affect results, so the gap is useful for broad comparison but does not predict a specific handset’s score.
What the performance gap means in a phone
Everyday and CPU-heavy tasks
The Exynos 1330’s two Cortex-A78 performance cores are newer than the Helio G85’s two Cortex-A75 cores, and its listed clocks are higher. That specification advantage aligns with its higher displayed Geekbench and AnTuTu results. It is the better-supported choice when comparing general processing capability, but the phone’s memory, software and thermal limits still shape the experience.
Rank #2

- BATTERY LIFE: Long-lasting 5000mAh battery with TurboPower charging technology delivers hours of power in minutes.
Graphics and gaming
The listed GPU clock rates do not establish which graphics processor is faster: the Helio G85’s Mali-G52 MC2 is listed up to 1 GHz, while NanoReview lists the Exynos 1330’s Mali-G68 MP2 at 949 MHz. Architecture, throughput, drivers, memory bandwidth and phone-level thermal behavior matter too. The displayed 3DMark result favors Exynos 1330, but it is not a matched-device gaming test. The available comparison does not establish sustained frame rates for the same game, settings and phones, so it cannot support a specific FPS or battery-life promise.
Mobile data
The connectivity difference is straightforward: Helio G85 is a 4G platform, while Exynos 1330 includes a sub-6 GHz 5G modem. Samsung’s listed peak modem rates are specifications, not independent measurements of real-world network speed; coverage, carrier bands, plan and device implementation affect what a user can get.

Which chipset should you choose?
- Favor Exynos 1330 if 5G matters or you want the stronger specification and benchmark profile in this comparison.
- Consider Helio G85 if the phone itself meets your needs and 4G is sufficient; the chipset comparison alone does not determine a phone’s value or usability.
- Compare actual phone variants before buying. Check the exact model and regional SKU, memory and storage configuration, screen, software support, battery, price and carrier compatibility.
Do not rely on a phone family name alone to identify its processor. Samsung notes that Exynos-equipped device availability can vary by country and carrier; verify the processor in the exact regional listing or manufacturer specifications. See Samsung’s device showcase.
