The Helio G70 is generally the faster chip in the available CPU and graphics comparisons, despite the Helio G35’s higher listed peak CPU clock. The difference comes down to more than GHz: the G70 combines newer Cortex-A75 and Cortex-A55 cores with Mali-G52 graphics, while the G35 uses Cortex-A53 cores and PowerVR GE8320 graphics. Benchmark and game results vary by phone and test, so treat them as evidence of a general advantage—not a promise about every handset.

MediaTek’s Helio G70 infographic gives the G70’s CPU configuration and GPU clock. NanoReview lists the G35’s CPU clusters, GPU, process, and announcement date; MediaTek’s Helio G35 product page identifies eight Cortex-A53 cores and PowerVR graphics.
Why the G35’s higher clock speed does not make it faster
The G35’s reported peak frequency of 2.3 GHz is higher than the G70’s 2.0 GHz maximum on its two Cortex-A75 cores. But clock speed is only one part of CPU performance. The G70 uses two Cortex-A75 cores for demanding work and six Cortex-A55 cores for other tasks; the G35 uses eight Cortex-A53 cores. Those different core designs mean a GHz figure alone cannot predict how quickly a chip will complete a workload.

The graphics hardware also differs: the G70 has Mali-G52 MC2 at 820 MHz, while the G35 has PowerVR GE8320 at 680 MHz. Across the benchmark comparisons below, results mostly favor the G70.

Scores depend on benchmark version, handset configuration, and testing conditions. The figures below are reported results, not guarantees for every phone using either chip.

Not every published comparison ranks them the same way. 91mobiles reports AnTuTu scores of 195,041 for the G70 and 203,078 for the G35, based on its own tests. That different ordering is a reminder that handset and test samples can affect observed scores; it does not establish that the G35 is universally faster.
Gaming performance: useful examples, not a chip-only test
NanoReview’s examples compare a Realme C3 with the G70 against a Xiaomi Poco C3 with the G35. Both phones are listed at 720 × 1600 resolution, but they are different handsets, and the game settings also differ.

These are handset-specific average results, not controlled measurements of the chips in otherwise identical phones. NanoReview notes that frame rates can vary with game version, operating system, and other factors. Its comparison page provides the listed game results.
MediaTek says the G70 platform uses HyperEngine for dynamic management of CPU, GPU, and memory. Its infographic also says Wi-Fi/LTE concurrency triggers are predicted in 13 milliseconds. These are manufacturer descriptions, not independent evidence that every game will run smoothly on every G70 phone.

Which chip should you choose?
- For stronger general performance: the available CPU and graphics comparisons mostly favor the G70, and its core configuration differs substantially from the G35’s all-Cortex-A53 design.
- For gaming: the G70 has the more favorable graphics specification and the cited phone examples mostly show higher frame rates, but the examples involve different handsets and settings.
- When comparing phones: do not choose from the processor name alone. The cited scores do not establish current phone prices, condition, availability, or software support, and the evidence does not support a definitive chip-level power-efficiency comparison.
