The Helio G35 is the faster-rated sibling on paper: MediaTek lists higher maximum CPU and GPU frequencies than it does for the Helio G25, and one third-party comparison reports higher benchmark scores for the G35. Both use eight Cortex-A53 CPU cores and the same named GPU, however, so the chip name alone cannot predict how two complete phones will perform.
Helio G25 vs Helio G35 specifications
MediaTek’s specifications describe the G35 as a higher-clocked version of the G25, rather than a chip with a different CPU core family or GPU model. The display and camera figures below are platform capabilities listed in MediaTek’s comparison infographic; they do not establish what any particular handset includes.

CPU: same core family, higher G35 clock
Both processors have eight Arm Cortex-A53 cores. MediaTek lists a maximum of 2.3GHz for the G35 and 2.0GHz for the G25. That is a higher maximum frequency for the G35, not a change to a newer or different CPU architecture.

GPU: same model, modestly higher listed frequency
Both use the IMG PowerVR GE8320. The G35’s listed maximum is 680MHz, compared with 650MHz for the G25. These specifications do not determine a particular phone’s frame rate or sustained gaming performance: handset design, thermals, software, and the game itself also matter.
Display and camera: platform limits, not handset promises
MediaTek’s infographic lists support for up to 2400 × 1080 display resolution on the G35 and 1600 × 720 on the G25. It lists maximum single-camera capabilities of 25MP at 30fps and 21MP at 30fps, respectively. A phone maker selects the actual screen and camera hardware, and camera capability figures alone say nothing about image quality.

Shared specifications
MediaTek’s launch material lists a 12nm manufacturing process for both chips. Its comparison infographic also gives both eMMC 5.1 storage and the same connectivity categories: Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, multi-GNSS options, and FM radio. Actual handset configurations, including supported network bands, can vary.

91mobiles reports the following results on its comparison page, accessed in 2026. They are that publisher’s reported figures, not universal scores for every phone using either processor.

The G35 has the stronger specification sheet and higher results in the cited 91mobiles comparison. That does not establish how well a specific G35 phone handles a demanding game, stays cool, or lasts on a charge. MediaTek describes HyperEngine features in its own materials, but vendor claims are not independent measurements of frame rates or battery life.

For a meaningful buying decision, compare the exact phone models rather than relying on the processor name alone. Check the handset’s display, camera hardware, memory, storage, battery, software support, price, and regional model. A better chip specification does not by itself make one phone the better buy.

How to use the comparison when choosing a phone
- Confirm the exact processor. Check the full model and regional variant; phone configurations can differ by market.
- Compare the handset features that affect your use. Look at its actual screen resolution, camera sensors, memory, storage, battery, and software support.
- Use benchmark figures as context, not a guarantee. The cited scores come from 91mobiles’ comparison, not a controlled test of every phone design.
- Choose based on the complete phone. The G35 is the higher-rated chip on paper, but value depends on the price and features of the specific handset.
