In a 2026 press announcement, co-founders Mélanie Christin and Aurélien Condomines said, “The Heidi novels left a profound impact on us growing up.” The same announcement describes the Heidi literary property as having sold more than 50 million copies and receiving 25 film and television adaptations, including the Japanese anime.
