Confido Health announced a $12.5 million Series A extension led by Z47 on October 14, 2026. The financing lifts Confido’s total Series A funding to $22.5 million and will be used to expand its CareOS platform across multi-location healthcare organizations and add AI agents for more workflows and specialties.
What the funding means
The round is an extension of Confido Health’s Series A rather than a new financing stage. Existing investors Together Fund and Blume Ventures also participated. Justin Saks, a healthcare private-equity veteran, joined as an investor and board adviser.
Confido says the new capital will support two priorities: broader deployment of CareOS among multi-site healthcare groups and development of additional specialized agents. The company is targeting administrative work that is repetitive, labor-intensive and spread across disconnected phone, messaging, billing and clinical systems.

What Confido Health does
Founded in 2022 by Chetan Reddy and Vichar Shroff, Confido builds AI agents for healthcare administration. Instead of only storing information or presenting a dashboard, its agents are designed to perform work such as calling patients, booking appointments, verifying insurance, processing prescription-refill requests, following up on payments and coordinating referrals.

Z47 describes the product as AI voice agents that automate scheduling, refills, payments and referrals. Confido’s own description is broader: CareOS is an “agentic AI” operating platform that can work across phone, fax, text, email and other communication channels while connecting to the systems a provider already uses.
How the CareOS platform fits into a clinic’s systems
CareOS is positioned as an execution layer across existing healthcare software rather than a replacement for an electronic health record. Confido says it integrates with EHR, practice-management, billing and phone systems, with more than 50 integrations published on its site in 2026.

Multichannel operation
The platform’s stated channel coverage includes voice calls, fax, text and email. That matters for provider groups whose patients and referral partners still use a mixture of legacy and digital communication. The practical value depends on how deeply each integration can read and write data, not simply on the number of connectors, so the published integration count should be treated as a breadth measure rather than proof that every workflow is identical across systems.

These are vendor-reported outcomes, not independently verified benchmarks. Healthcare operators evaluating the platform should ask which sites produced each result, what baseline was used, whether human review remained in the process and how performance varies by specialty and integration.
Confido’s scale and target market
The Economic Times reported in 2026 that Confido serves 3,200 healthcare providers across more than 1,500 sites in 27 U.S. states. The same report said the company had grown 15-fold since its previous funding round.

Its primary customers are multi-location provider organizations facing staffing shortages, higher operating costs and fragmented software. Confido’s distribution strategy starts with private-equity investors: after demonstrating results, the company seeks expansion into the investors’ portfolio companies. This approach can give a successful deployment a path to multiple sites, but it also places pressure on the platform to support varied workflows and software environments across an entire portfolio.
Why investors are backing healthcare administration AI
Vikram Vaidyanathan, a partner and senior managing director at Z47, characterized healthcare administration as a trillion-dollar cost center historically managed by adding staff. He called Confido’s approach “AI staffing for healthcare,” emphasizing that provider organizations operate on different combinations of systems.

Confido co-founder and CEO Chetan Reddy made a similar distinction between record-keeping and execution: “Systems of record were never going to fix that because information sitting in a database doesn’t call a patient back or collect a payment. That’s why we built CareOS. It does the work itself, not just the paperwork behind it.”
The investment thesis therefore rests on workflow automation rather than simply generating notes or recommendations. For a provider group, the relevant question is whether an agent can complete a task accurately inside the organization’s existing systems, escalate exceptions to staff and leave an auditable record.
What healthcare operators should evaluate
- Workflow fit: list the highest-volume administrative tasks and confirm which steps CareOS can execute versus hand to staff.
- Integration depth: verify read/write permissions, data synchronization, phone configuration and billing or scheduling dependencies for each system in use.
- Safety and escalation: define when an interaction must move to a human, particularly for medication, financial, insurance or clinically sensitive requests.
- Measurement: establish baselines for answer rates, abandoned calls, no-shows, payment collection, staff time and patient satisfaction before deployment.
- Multi-site governance: determine how scripts, policies, permissions and reporting will be managed when locations use different specialties or operating rules.
Bottom line
Z47’s $12.5 million investment gives Confido Health additional capital to scale an execution-focused AI platform for healthcare administration. Confido now reports $22.5 million in total Series A funding, service to 3,200 providers at more than 1,500 sites in 27 U.S. states, and a platform spanning 50-plus integrations. Its differentiation is the combination of multichannel agents, existing-system integration and a private-equity-led expansion model. The operational figures are promising but remain company-reported, so buyers should validate them against their own workflows and baseline data.
