As of October 12, 2026, HCLTech had not published its Q2 FY27 results or changed its FY27 guidance. The company’s published ranges remained 1.0%–4.0% year-over-year revenue growth and 1.5%–4.5% Services growth, both in constant currency, with an EBIT margin target of 17.5%–18.5%. Any Q2 figures below are analyst estimates, not reported results.
What is HCLTech’s current FY27 guidance?
HCLTech’s investor-relations page listed the following full-year ranges as of October 12, 2026. They are company guidance, not analyst forecasts.
| Measure | Published FY27 guidance | Basis |
|---|---|---|
| Company revenue growth | 1.0%–4.0% | Year over year, constant currency |
| Services revenue growth | 1.5%–4.5% | Year over year, constant currency |
| EBIT margin | 17.5%–18.5% | Full-year range |
The central question is whether the company changes either growth range after Q2. A revised company revenue outlook and a revised Services outlook are not interchangeable; nor should constant-currency growth be confused with reported-currency growth or total growth that includes acquisitions. HCLTech’s investor-relations page is the company source for its current guidance.

Five things to watch in the Q2 results
1. Whether guidance changes—and what the range includes
Analyst views differ. Business Standard reported that Kotak Institutional Equities saw a possibility of company revenue guidance rising to 3%–4%, partly reflecting acquisitions. The same preview reported Jefferies expected Services guidance to narrow by 50 basis points, to 2%–4%. These are broker expectations, not announcements from HCLTech; the company had not changed the published ranges at the information cutoff.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. If management revises guidance, check whether it refers to total company revenue or Services, whether it is stated in constant currency, and whether acquisition contribution is included. A higher total range that includes acquired revenue does not, by itself, establish stronger organic growth. Business Standard’s Q2 preview attributes the analyst scenarios.
2. Sequential revenue momentum
In Q1 FY27, HCLTech’s constant-currency revenue fell 0.5% quarter over quarter but rose 2.6% year over year. Those figures provide the immediate baseline: sequential growth measures change from the previous quarter, while year-over-year growth compares with the same quarter a year earlier.

The analyst expectations reported by Business Standard were not identical. Jefferies expected sequential constant-currency growth of 2.1%, while Kotak expected 1.8%. These are brokerage forecasts, not actual Q2 growth. Compare the eventual result with each forecast on the same sequential, constant-currency basis, and distinguish any acquisition contribution that the company reports. HCLTech’s quarterly-results materials contain its reported figures.

The FY27 EBIT margin guidance remained 17.5%–18.5%. Q1 FY27 reported EBIT margin was 16.9%, including a stated 62-basis-point restructuring impact. The quarterly margin is an actual result for that quarter; the guidance range is a full-year target, so the two should not be treated as equivalent measures.

Business Standard reported analyst expectations around the high-17% range and discussion of currency benefits and possible acquisition-related dilution. Watch for the actual reported margin and any separately stated adjustments, then consider management’s explanation of the movement. Do not treat currency effects or acquisition dilution as established outcomes until HCLTech reports them.
4. Discretionary spending and expected client ramps
In the earlier FY27 guidance discussion, management said the lower end of the range assumed continued softness in discretionary spending and the ramp-up of two clients. HCLTech’s FY26 results release also cited lower discretionary spend and delayed decisions. Q2 commentary may help show whether client spending and those expected ramps are progressing, but the earlier assumptions alone do not establish what happened in Q2.

Chairperson Roshni Nadar Malhotra said in the FY26 release: “During the quarter, our performance came below our expectations due to softness in certain parts of our business due to lower discretionary spend and delayed decision making.” The FY26 results release also reported traction for new AI-led service offerings and annualized Advanced AI revenues crossing $620 million in Q4.

5. Deal wins and AI’s two-sided effect
HCLTech reported new-deal total contract value (TCV) of $2,407 million in Q1 FY27. TCV is the value associated with signed deals over their contract terms; it is not revenue recognized in the quarter. Q2 deal closures can therefore inform the outlook, but deal value should not be read as an immediate revenue-growth figure.

AI may create demand for new services while also contributing to pricing pressure or deflation. The Q2 preview raised AI-led pricing pressure as an issue to watch; it does not establish that AI will raise or lower HCLTech’s company-wide growth or margins. Look for management’s account of both demand and commercial terms rather than treating AI revenue growth as proof of stronger overall performance.

Published forecasts use different measures and should be kept attributed to their sources. The Economic Times reported a survey average across seven brokerages of 16% year-over-year revenue growth and 12% profit growth. Business Standard separately reported Axis Direct estimates of ₹35,443 crore in revenue, up 11% year over year, and 15.9% profit growth. These are newspaper-reported analyst expectations, not HCLTech results or guidance; the different forecast bases mean they are not a single consensus figure.
Business Standard also reported brokerage views on sequential constant-currency growth, margin, deal TCV, and possible guidance changes. Those measures answer different questions from year-over-year revenue and profit growth. The Economic Times preview describes its seven-brokerage survey; the estimates above remain forecasts until actual results are published.

Prior-year context: Q2 FY26
HCLTech’s Q2 FY26 results offer a year-ago reference, not a forecast for Q2 FY27. The company reported the following figures for the quarter ended September 2025:
| Measure | Q2 FY26 reported figure |
|---|---|
| Company revenue growth | 2.4% sequential and 4.6% year over year, constant currency |
| Services revenue growth | 2.5% sequential and 5.5% year over year, constant currency |
| EBIT margin | 17.4%, including a 55-basis-point restructuring impact |
| New-deal TCV | $2,569 million |
These historical figures can help frame comparisons, but they do not determine the current quarter’s result. HCLTech’s Q2 FY26 investor release is the source for the prior-year figures.
Quick Recap
What would count as a meaningful guidance signal?
- Growth: A change to the company or Services constant-currency range, with any acquisition contribution clearly distinguished.
- Execution: Sequential growth compared with Q1’s 0.5% decline, alongside an explanation of client ramps and demand.
- Profitability: The reported EBIT margin, separately identified adjustments, and an explanation of progress toward the full-year range.
- Demand quality: Deal wins and AI-related activity interpreted alongside revenue conversion and pricing commentary, rather than as stand-alone proof of growth.
