There is no reliable evidence that the Galaxy S27 Pro has overtaken the Galaxy S27 Ultra in sales, searches, preorders, or buyer preference. As of October 13, 2026, Samsung had not announced either phone in the newsroom listing reviewed, and the available reports describe the models, prices, and launch timing as rumors or expectations—not confirmed products.
What does “overtaken” mean here?
To say the Pro has overtaken the Ultra, there must be a defined measure and comparable data—for example, sales over the same period, search interest, preorder totals, or a survey of buyer preference. The available sources provide no such figures. Rumored positioning, a reported model number, or speculation about hardware cannot establish that one phone is more popular than the other.
So the claim is unverified, not a demonstrated change in demand. It is also too early to infer a buyer preference from the information currently available.

Samsung’s Global Newsroom press-release listing, checked on October 13, 2026, showed October announcements but no Galaxy S27 Pro or Galaxy S27 Ultra launch announcement. A missing newsroom listing does not prove that either phone does not exist; it means the reviewed listing did not provide an official announcement. Samsung Global Newsroom

There is some secondary reporting about the Pro’s identity. SamMobile reported in June 2026 that GSMA database records it reviewed associated model number SM-S957B/DS with the Galaxy S27 Pro. That is evidence reported from database records, not a formal Samsung product announcement. SamMobile
What is rumored about the phones?
Expected timing and reported prices
Android Central reported on October 9, 2026, that a tipster had shared rumored US starting prices of $1,299 for the S27 Pro and $1,399 for the S27 Ultra. The same report described a four-model lineup as expected in early 2027. These are unconfirmed leak figures and an expected timeframe, not Samsung-confirmed prices or an announced release schedule. They do not measure which phone is attracting more interest. Android Central’s report on rumored pricing

Regional chipset report
Android Authority reported on October 5, 2026, on a claim that the S27 Pro might use an Exynos 2700 chip in some regions. Treat that as a rumor, not final hardware information; the report does not establish a confirmed chipset configuration. Android Authority’s report on the chipset claim

Can the S27 Pro and Ultra be compared yet?
Not on confirmed specifications. The cited official material does not establish S27 dimensions, weight, displays, cameras or zoom, regional chipsets, battery capacity, charging, S Pen support, availability, or final prices. Until Samsung publishes specifications, a detailed Pro-versus-Ultra comparison would turn leaks into facts.

The Samsung Electronics first-quarter 2026 interim report offers only current-generation context: it covers the Galaxy S26 family, including the S26 Ultra’s 6.9-inch display. That S26 specification cannot be used to infer the S27 Ultra’s display or to compare it with the S27 Pro. Samsung Electronics 1Q 2026 Interim Report
When both models are officially announced, a useful comparison should check price, dimensions and weight, display, camera hardware and zoom, chipset by region, battery and charging, S Pen support, and availability. Until then, any apparent advantage on those points should be labeled as a rumor and attributed to its source and date.

What should a prospective buyer do now?
- Do not treat the popularity claim as a reason to choose either phone. No comparative demand figures are available in the cited reporting.
- Do not rely on rumored prices as purchase prices. The reported $1,299 and $1,399 figures are leak claims, not confirmed retail prices.
- Wait for an official announcement before comparing specifications or accessories. Product dimensions and other purchase details have not been confirmed in the cited official material.
- Revisit the comparison once Samsung publishes both models’ details. Then assess each phone against the same specifications and, if popularity is the question, a specific comparable metric.
Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date/time indicated and are subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed on Amazon at the time of purchase will apply.
