What the Haier HRF510FHS is
Haier Australia lists the HRF510FHS as a 500 Series French-door refrigerator freezer in a Satina finish. It has a manufacturer-stated 509L total capacity and a 70:30 fridge-to-freezer split. The related HRF510FHC is the black-finish model; confirm the complete suffix when comparing listings or ordering parts.
Haier describes the model as having flexible storage and even cooling, but those are manufacturer claims, not independent test findings. Haier’s HRF510FHS product page identifies its features and specifications.
Capacity and kitchen fit
The manufacturer specifies 372L for the refrigerator and 137L for the freezer. The larger fridge share is useful if you store more fresh food than frozen food, but total capacity alone does not tell you how well a particular shelf and drawer layout will suit your groceries.

Measure the full space, including any required ventilation and door-opening clearance, rather than comparing the body dimensions with a tight cavity alone. CHOICE lists the model’s recommended installation dimensions alongside its 2026 model listing.
Water dispenser and manual ice maker
The water dispenser does not require plumbing. It draws from an internal tank that you refill, avoiding a dedicated water line but adding a task: you must keep the reservoir filled. This setup may suit a kitchen where plumbing is inconvenient or unavailable.

The ice maker is manual twist style rather than an automatic plumbed ice system. The retailer Q&A says to fill the ice tray with water, freeze it, then twist the control to release the ice into the bin. See the Appliances Online listing and Q&A for that practical explanation. The answer describes operation; it does not establish ice-making speed or reliability.
Energy use and warranty
Haier lists a 5-star energy rating and claimed annual energy consumption of 313 kWh. CHOICE also lists those figures for the model. Your actual electricity use and cost depend on usage and local electricity rates; estimate annual running cost by multiplying 313 kWh by your applicable price per kWh, while treating the result as an estimate based on Haier’s claimed consumption.

Haier states a two-year parts-and-labour warranty plus an additional ten years of compressor parts coverage. The extra ten years applies to compressor parts, not full-appliance parts and labour. Check the manufacturer’s warranty terms for applicable conditions and exclusions before purchase.
What independent testing tells you
CHOICE identifies the HRF510FHS as tested in 2026, but its public listing does not expose the Expert Rating or detailed test results. That means the available public information does not establish a score or specific outcomes for noise, temperature stability, reliability, or food freshness.
