Haier lists annual energy use of 329 kWh, a four-star rating and a two-year parts-and-labour warranty. Those are manufacturer specifications, not independent test results; the available CHOICE listing identifies a 2022 test but does not expose its score or detailed findings to non-members.
What the Haier HRF454TS3 offers

Will it fit your kitchen?
The listed cabinet size is 1780 mm high, 705 mm wide and 682 mm deep. Allow for more space if your kitchen layout requires clearance for ventilation, door swing or installation. The sources available here do not establish the required clearances, so use the current installation guide and confirm the requirements with the seller before ordering.

Measure the full delivery route as well as the final space: doorways, hallways, lifts and tight turns can be limiting even when the kitchen opening is wide enough. Haier says the door hinge is reversible, meaning the opening direction can be selected; its guide describes choosing whether the fridge opens left or right. Confirm the process and any installation conditions with Haier or the retailer.
How much electricity does it use?
Haier lists 329 kWh per year and a four-star energy rating for the HRF454TS3; CHOICE lists the same figures. These are model figures, not a prediction of an individual household’s electricity bill. Actual cost depends on factors including electricity tariffs, room temperature, ventilation, door-opening habits and how the appliance is loaded. To estimate the annual energy cost using the published figure, multiply 329 by your electricity price per kWh.

Is the HRF454TS3 frost free?
Haier lists a frost-free freezer, so the freezer is designed to avoid routine manual defrosting. The guide also lists a manual twist ice maker. It does not establish an automatic ice or water dispenser, so do not assume either is included.

What independent testing says—and does not say
CHOICE lists the HRF454TS3 as tested in 2022. Its expert rating, reliability score and detailed performance results are member-only, so a public listing does not support a conclusion about the model’s test performance. Haier’s own materials are inconsistent about the series name: its April 2026 guide calls the model “500 Series,” while its product page heading calls it “300 Series.” The model number matches in both materials, so the HRF454TS3 model number is the more reliable identifier. - Compare usable capacity and the fridge/freezer split, not just the headline total litres.
- Check external dimensions and confirm required installation clearances.
- Compare annual kWh and star rating on a like-for-like basis.
- Check freezer layout, ice and water provision, door reversibility and warranty terms.
- Distinguish accessible independent test results from manufacturer specifications; do not infer a score from a review listing alone.
