The Haier HRF450BW2 is a 70 cm-wide, white bottom-freezer refrigerator-freezer with a reversible door and adjustable-temperature drawer. Its listed dimensions are 700 × 676 × 1725 mm (W × D × H). However, published capacity and energy figures vary by guide version and market, and public listings mark the model discontinued in Australia and New Zealand. The available public review pages do not show enough test results to support a performance verdict.
Haier HRF450BW2 review: what the available evidence shows
The HRF450BW2 is a model-specific option to investigate if you need a bottom-freezer refrigerator around 70 cm wide. Haier’s guides describe a flexible drawer and several convenience features, but capacity figures differ between documents. Independent review listings confirm a 2021 test listing and discontinued status, while withholding detailed performance results from public view.
That means this is not a basis for calling the fridge a proven performer or recommending it over alternatives. Before buying a remaining-stock or used unit, verify the exact model suffix, condition, local availability, dimensions, and energy label on the appliance itself.
Is the Haier HRF450BW2 discontinued?
CHOICE’s Australian listing says the HRF450BW2 was tested in 2021 and is discontinued. Consumer NZ also labels its listing discontinued. These are market-specific listings; they do not establish that every remaining-stock or second-hand unit has disappeared worldwide.

What are the dimensions of the HRF450BW2?
Haier’s quick reference guide lists the unit at 700 mm wide, 676 mm deep, and 1725 mm high. The guide describes it as a 70 cm bottom-freezer model with a white finish and reversible hinge. | Source and date | Reported capacity | Energy information |
|---|---|---|
| Haier user guide; publication date not shown | 454 L total gross; 405 L total storage; 311 L fresh-food compartment; 94 L freezer compartment | Not stated in the cited user-guide figures |

| CHOICE Australian model listing, accessed 2026 | 454 L total; compartment figures differ from the guide figures | 4-star rating; claimed 336 kWh/year |
The guide revisions and CHOICE listing do not explain why their capacity or energy claims differ. Use the rating label and documentation supplied with the particular appliance in your market rather than treating any one figure as universal. Haier’s 2023 guide says its dimensions and specifications apply to the specific product and model, and advises customers to confirm with Customer Care that the guide describes the currently available model.

- My Zone adjustable-temperature drawer: Three settings intended for different foods, including drinks, seafood, and meat.
- Humidity-zone drawer: A separate drawer feature described for managing storage conditions.
- Super Freeze and Super Cooling: Haier describes Super Freeze as a way to freeze food quickly to help preserve flavour, texture, and nutritional value; these are manufacturer claims, not independent test findings.

- Reversible door and recessed handles: The door can be configured to open from the opposite side, subject to the installation instructions.

What do independent reviews say about performance?
CHOICE identifies a 2021 test but restricts its Expert Rating and detailed test results to members. Its public listing does not expose temperature stability, temperature evenness, noise, reliability, satisfaction, or running-cost analysis. Consumer NZ’s public listing marks the model discontinued but does not expose underlying scores. Those pages therefore do not establish how well this particular refrigerator performs on those measures.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsIf you are comparing it with another fridge, look for equivalent, same-market evidence: usable capacity measured under the same convention, installation dimensions and door clearances, energy-label regime, storage layout, warranty and service support, and independent results for cooling, noise, reliability, and running costs. A rating or consumption number from a different market or document revision is not a like-for-like comparison.
Where can I get parts for a Haier HRF450BW2?
Haier’s parts listings identify several model-compatible items:
- Haier Australia lists LED light H0064001621.
- Haier Australia lists sensor H0060401766.
- Haier New Zealand lists electric damper assembly H0064001405.
These compatibility listings do not diagnose a fault, confirm local stock, or mean that a part is suitable for user installation. Check the complete model code on your appliance and confirm the diagnosis and compatibility with Haier or an authorized technician before ordering.
