GUNNAR’s Cyberpunk 2077 Dex glasses stand out for their oversized, single-shield design and distinctive brushed-nickel finish. The official listing specifies a 40-gram frame and three lens tints; reviewers describe the look as striking and the glasses as light, though their comfort impressions are personal. Whether they suit you comes down to the dramatic fit, visible tint, and manufacturer-stated filtering—not any independently established health or gaming benefit.
What do the Cyberpunk 2077 Dex glasses look like?
GUNNAR describes the Dex as an officially licensed design inspired by Dexter DeShawn. Its defining feature is an oversized quadrate shield lens: one broad, frameless-looking lens spanning the front, set in a brushed-nickel frame with visible hardware. That makes the silhouette much more conspicuous than conventional rectangular gaming glasses.
Jason Million of G Style Magazine also noted the single wide lens, visible hardware, and brushed-nickel finish. His review describes a distinctive appearance rather than a subtle everyday frame. G Style Magazine’s review
How big and heavy are the Dex glasses?
GUNNAR lists these dimensions and weight for the glasses, with weight stated without packaging:
#1 Best Overall
- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. - Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
| Measurement | Listed specification |
|---|---|
| Lens width | 145 mm |
| Lens height | 46 mm |
| Frame width | 139 mm |
| Temple length | 120 mm |
| Weight | 40 g, without packaging |
Those numbers are useful reference points, but they do not establish how the glasses will fit a particular face. Pocket Gamer reviewer Jupiter Hadley found the oversized style noticeable but said the sides thin around the ears, so they did not feel especially weighty there. That is one reviewer’s impression, not a fit guarantee. Pocket Gamer’s review
What is the difference between Amber, Sun, and Amber Max?
The listed choices are Amber, Sun, and Amber Max. GUNNAR’s tint guide gives the following blue-light blocking figures at 450 nm. These are manufacturer-published specifications, not independent measurements of the Dex:

| Lens tint | GUNNAR’s stated blue-light blocking at 450 nm | What reviewers describe |
|---|---|---|
| Amber | 65% | Hadley noticed a slight orange cast. |
| Sun | 90% | No specific color impression was reported in the reviews cited here. |
| Amber Max | 98% | Hadley described a deeper orange cast. |
GUNNAR describes Amber Max as intended for extreme photosensitivity and sleep control. That is the manufacturer’s use description, not medical advice or evidence that the lenses treat a condition or improve sleep. The stronger listed filtering percentage also does not establish that a tint will feel more comfortable to you; the visible orange coloration may matter if color appearance is important.
What is included, and how should you care for the lens?
GUNNAR’s listing says the glasses include a padded collector sleeve and microfiber cleaning cloth, and specifies a 12-month warranty. The company also describes the lens as having G-Shield Premium anti-reflective and smudge-resistant coating, and says it blocks 100% UV. These are manufacturer listing claims, not independently verified test results here.

- What You Get: Anker USB-C Hub (7-in-1), welcome guide, 18-month warranty, and our friendly customer service.
Million’s review of the Amber Max version notes that the exposed lens can pick up smudges during handling, despite the coating description. Use the cloth and handle the broad lens carefully if fingerprints bother you. A smudge-resistant coating should not be read as a guarantee that the lens will stay clean.
Do the Dex glasses reduce eye strain or improve gaming?
GUNNAR says its lens technology is clinically proven to reduce digital eye strain, enhance visual focus, and sharpen contrast. The product-specific clinical evidence behind those statements is not established by the sources cited here, so treat them as the manufacturer’s claims rather than confirmed outcomes. The available reviews offer subjective impressions of appearance, tint, and comfort; they do not establish that the glasses prevent headaches, treat migraines, improve sleep, or improve gaming performance.

Are the Cyberpunk 2077 Dex glasses worth buying?
They may appeal if you want a conspicuous Cyberpunk-inspired shield frame, prefer a light listed weight, and are comfortable with a large lens and visible tint. Consider a different style if you want discreet glasses, need a fit that can be confirmed before purchase, or want to avoid an orange cast. The listed dimensions are a starting point for fit comparison, not a substitute for trying the frame on.
