GTA+ is a platform-bound, automatically renewing monthly membership for Grand Theft Auto Online and a rotating games library. In October 2026, it is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC only when PC players use Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced. It does not work on PS4, Xbox One, or PC Legacy, and buying it through one store does not unlock benefits on another platform. Each renewal adds GTA$500,000 to Maze Bank automatically, while claimed properties, vehicles, and cosmetics remain yours after cancellation; unclaimed or future member rewards do not.
What GTA+ includes
GTA+ combines permanent membership advantages, recurring monthly value and rotating event rewards. Rockstar changes the claimable vehicle, clothing, property and other items over time, so the exact lineup is not fixed. Rockstar describes new GTA Online benefit periods as launching every three to six weeks. A reward shown during one period can disappear when that period ends.

The membership also includes access to the GTA+ Games Library. A game remains playable only while it is still in that library and your membership is active on the platform where you subscribed. Removing a title from the library or ending the subscription ends that library access, even if the game was previously installed.

Rockstar support says GTA+ benefits apply to both Grand Theft Auto Online characters on the subscribed platform. That does not mean every reward appears on both characters automatically: monthly claimable benefits must be claimed separately for each character. Maze Bank, where the renewal cash is deposited, is shared.

Which platforms and editions support GTA+?
Eligibility depends on both the hardware family and the game edition. Rockstar’s terms state, “Subscriptions are limited to a specific platform.” A subscription purchased for one platform or storefront is not a roaming entitlement.

Does GTA+ work on PS4 or Xbox One?
No. GTA+ benefits are not available in the PS4 or Xbox One versions. Backward compatibility does not change the edition being played: running a legacy console version on newer hardware does not make that version eligible. To use GTA+, play the supported PS5 or Xbox Series X|S edition.
What does PC support require?
PC members must run Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced. PC Legacy is excluded, even when both editions are installed on the same computer. Check the launcher’s edition label before trying to claim a reward; launching the wrong executable can make an otherwise valid membership appear inactive.

No. The subscription remains with the platform or storefront through which it was purchased. A PlayStation membership does not unlock GTA+ on PC, and a PC membership does not unlock it on Xbox or PlayStation. Moving your Rockstar account, game progress or characters does not move the subscription entitlement.

Accounts, regions and other prerequisites
You need a compatible device, a persistent internet connection and a valid Rockstar Games account linked to the store account carrying the active membership. On consoles, a separate paid platform subscription may also be required for online play. The precise requirement depends on the platform’s own service rules.
Rockstar warns that benefits may vary by platform, device and region. GTA+ on GTAV Enhanced PC may not be available in every country, and age restrictions can differ by location. If the membership option is missing from your store, verify regional availability and the age settings on the account rather than assuming the game edition is at fault.
How billing and the GTA$500,000 renewal bonus work
GTA+ is an automatically renewing monthly subscription. The platform charges the recurring payment at the start of each billing period, and benefits activate on the related platform after purchase.
Rockstar Customer Support states that GTA$500,000 is deposited automatically each time the membership renews. The deposit follows your personal renewal date, not the start or end of a GTA Online event. When the renewal charge succeeds, the money is placed in Maze Bank; it is not a one-time sign-up grant and it does not arrive on a universal calendar date.

When do I get the GTA$500,000 bonus?
You receive GTA$500,000 when the subscription successfully renews. If your renewal date is the 15th, for example, the bonus is associated with that billing event rather than with a new event period that begins on another date. Check Maze Bank after the renewal transaction posts. A failed payment, canceled membership or interrupted billing cycle can prevent that renewal from occurring.
Claiming rotating rewards before they expire
Event benefits are time-limited. Rockstar’s event periods generally run for three to six weeks, but that range is a cadence description rather than a promise of an identical schedule every time. Each item has its own published claim window.
- Open Rockstar’s current GTA+ benefits or GTA Online event page and read the end date for the item you want.
- Launch the supported edition on the platform with the active membership.
- Use the in-game prompt, Vinewood Club app or stated claim screen to redeem the reward.
- Repeat the claim on your second GTA Online character if the item is offered per character; the support article says monthly claimable benefits must be claimed separately.
- Confirm delivery in the relevant garage, property-management screen, wardrobe or account balance before the event period closes.
Do not treat an item displayed in an old video, screenshot or search result as currently available. The event list changes, and a past reward is not automatically restored when you join again.

Canceling stops the next automatic renewal. It does not normally remove access immediately: Rockstar says access continues until the end of the current billing period. The account then keeps items that were successfully claimed, but membership-only services and future claims end.

If you rejoin later, you become eligible for the event active at that time. You do not retroactively receive rewards from periods when the membership was inactive. This makes the timing of cancellation important if a specific property, vehicle or cosmetic is still waiting to be claimed.
Cancellation is separate from a game suspension
A GTA Online ban or suspension does not automatically cancel GTA+. Rockstar says subscribers must cancel manually. If you do not cancel, recurring billing can continue according to the platform’s subscription settings even though access to the game is restricted.

Use the service that processed the purchase. GTA+ memberships for GTAV Enhanced PC bought through the Rockstar Games Launcher are managed in the launcher. Other PC storefront purchases and console memberships are managed through their respective platform subscription services. Canceling in the wrong account or on the wrong store will not stop the active subscription.
- Identify the store account that shows the GTA+ charge.
- Open that account’s subscriptions or recurring-billing page.
- Select GTA+ and choose the platform’s cancellation option.
- Keep the confirmation message and note the displayed expiration date.
- Continue claiming any desired reward before that date and before the event’s own deadline.
Because labels differ between stores and regions, the billing account’s subscription page is the authoritative place to confirm renewal status, next charge and end-of-period access.

Common problems and fixes
The membership was purchased but benefits are missing
- Confirm that you launched PS5, Xbox Series X|S or PC Enhanced, not a legacy edition.
- Sign in with the Rockstar Games account linked to the purchasing store account.
- Check that the platform subscription payment succeeded and has not expired.
- Restart the game after purchase so the entitlement can refresh.
- Check regional availability and age restrictions if the GTA+ option is absent.
A reward is visible but cannot be claimed
- Read the event’s closing date; the claim period may have ended.
- Verify that the membership is active on the same platform where the reward is being claimed.
- Switch to the other GTA Online character if the first character already claimed a per-character item.
- Check the correct in-game location, such as the Vinewood Club app, wardrobe, garage or property interface.
The renewal money is not in Maze Bank
Confirm that a renewal—not merely the original purchase—was billed, then check the billing date and Maze Bank balance. The GTA$500,000 payment is tied to a successful renewal. A failed charge, early cancellation or a different platform account means no new renewal deposit was triggered.
GTA+ versus owning the game
Game ownership and membership are separate. Owning a supported physical or digital edition of Grand Theft Auto V enables you to play that edition, but it does not include GTA+. Conversely, GTA+ does not convert a PS4, Xbox One or PC Legacy copy into an eligible edition. On PC, confirm that a listing or installation explicitly corresponds to GTAV Enhanced before relying on it for membership benefits.
A practical decision checklist
- Choose the right edition: PS5, Xbox Series X|S or PC Enhanced.
- Use the right store account: the subscription is locked to the purchasing platform or storefront.
- Link accounts: connect the Rockstar Games account to the active store membership.
- Check local eligibility: region, age and any separate console online-service requirement.
- Track dates: record both the monthly renewal date and each event reward’s claim deadline.
- Claim deliberately: redeem monthly items on each character when Rockstar requires separate claims.
- Cancel correctly: use the service that billed you and expect access to continue through the paid period.
- Recheck the live lineup: rotating rewards change, so do not rely on an outdated event list.
