As of October 11, 2026, Rockstar had not issued a statement specifically addressing a video attributed to Cyberleek that was reported to have appeared on October 8. That is the narrow, dated meaning of the “three days straight” claim—not evidence that Rockstar has never addressed leaks. The company spoke publicly about earlier GTA VI gameplay leaks on August 26.
What happened with the October GTA 6 leak?
The Verge reported on October 8 that a video attributed to Cyberleek showed about 25 minutes of alleged Grand Theft Auto VI footage. Shattered.io reported on October 11 that Rockstar had not specifically addressed that clip during the intervening three days. Its account describes the footage as approximately 24–25 minutes, reflecting variation in coverage rather than a confirmed runtime. Shattered.io’s October 11 report and The Verge’s October 8 report are reports about the video, not authentication of it.
The distinction matters: the available reporting does not establish that the footage is genuine, comes from a particular development build, or depicts features and story details that will be in the retail release. Treat claims about what the clip supposedly shows as unverified, not as confirmed game information.

Rockstar’s silence about this particular October clip should not be confused with silence throughout 2026. On August 26, the company issued a statement about earlier gameplay leaks. The Verge reproduced Rockstar’s words: “It would be an understatement to say that having videos of Grand Theft Auto VI gameplay leak in this way has been heartbreaking for our team, and this is obviously not how we intended for you to see the game after all this time.” The Verge’s August 26 report attributes that statement to Rockstar; it was not a response to the October 8 video.

What is officially confirmed about GTA VI?
Rockstar’s official Grand Theft Auto VI page lists a November 19, 2026 release date for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S and describes Jason and Lucia as the story’s central characters. Those official details provide context, but they do not verify the leaked video or any alleged content within it.

For dependable release information, use Rockstar’s official game page rather than treating leaked footage as a substitute for official gameplay. The official page lists the platforms and release date; it does not authenticate the October clip.
