Yes. Grand Theft Auto VI-branded umbrellas and Vice City chairs were seen on Miami Beach’s South Beach on October 14–15, 2026. The equipment was staged in secured boxes on the sand, and a worker said the umbrellas were expected to be installed that weekend. The physical rollout is visible, but the related Miami Beach municipal agreement with Amplify Marketing was still reported as unsigned, so the installation should not be described as a fully finalized city contract.
What was seen on South Beach
Reporting from GTA BOOM documented umbrellas carrying the VI logo and palm-tree artwork, along with Vice City/VI beach chairs arriving at South Beach. The equipment was staged in secure boxes while crews prepared the area. A worker indicated that the umbrellas were expected to go up during the weekend following the October 14–15 sighting.
The same report noted NINE1NINE airplane banners flying over Miami Beach. The operator behind those flights had not been confirmed, so the banners are best treated as part of the surrounding promotional activity rather than as a verified city contract.

Is Miami Beach officially part of the GTA 6 campaign?
Miami Beach commissioners voted 4–3 on September 10, 2026, to allow the proposed campaign. Debate coverage described Boucher Brothers chairs and umbrellas carrying the VI symbol, an expected $3 million total investment attributed to Rockstar’s campaign reporting, and a run from October 15 through the end of 2026.
That approval did not eliminate the contracting uncertainty. The beach equipment was observed in place, while the Miami Beach/Amplify Marketing agreement was still reported as unsigned. The most accurate description is therefore: an approved proposal with a visible rollout, but not a fully executed municipal deal at the time of reporting.

Why the vote was controversial
Commissioner David Suarez argued that promoting Vice City conflicted with Miami Beach’s effort to change its public image after imposing strict Spring Break restrictions. “You can’t spend years telling the world that Miami Beach has changed, imposing some of the toughest Spring Break restrictions we’ve ever had, to change our brand and our image. And then turn around and voluntarily promote the very image we’re trying to leave behind,” he said.
Commissioner Monica Matteo-Salinas supported the campaign and connected it to her own history with the series: “I played it in 1997, when it first came out; I played it in 2002, when it came out, the Vice City version, and I’m going to play it again when this one comes out.”
