In Grow A Chicken Fighter, guides report that each chicken has one skill, which activates automatically in combat. Skills can deal damage, control enemies, heal, protect, or provide utility. The guides also describe a fusion interface that lets players lock a skill before confirming, but check the live preview before committing: these mechanics are reported by secondary guides, not official game documentation.
How chicken skills work
AllThingsHow and NerdsChalk describe each fighter as having one skill at a time, with the skill triggering automatically during combat. That means you choose a fighter partly for the ability it brings, then assess how well that ability suits the fighter’s stats and survivability. The guides do not establish activation odds or a way to trigger skills manually.
The abilities below are those reported in the guides updated August 20–21, 2026. The list is not verified against a live-game database, is not necessarily exhaustive, and may change with game updates. AllThingsHow’s skills guide and NerdsChalk’s abilities and fusion guide are secondary sources.

How to choose a skill for a fighter
Compare the ability’s job with the fighter’s stats and how long it is likely to remain in the fight. AllThingsHow advises weighing cooldown and stat fit rather than choosing only for a powerful-looking animation. The available guides do not provide verified numerical damage, cooldowns, durations, activation rates, or an official tier list, so they do not support a precise ranking.
- For sustained survival, consider whether a protective or healing effect fits the fighter’s HP and expected time in combat.
- For a control-focused choice, consider whether the effect can create openings for your fighter or allies.
- For damage, compare the ability’s described effect with the fighter’s attack-oriented stats rather than assuming the flashiest move hits hardest.
- For team utility, consider who benefits from the effect, such as nearby allies for Field Kit.
How skill selection reportedly works in fusion
Both guides report that players can select or lock an ability in the fusion interface before confirming, with the aim of carrying that skill forward. Treat this as guide-reported behavior rather than a universal guarantee: the sources do not establish every eligible fusion pair, all costs, the full stat-inheritance formula, or whether every outcome follows the same rule.

- Identify the skill you intend to keep and the fighters you plan to fuse.
- In the fusion interface, inspect the available skill-selection controls and the preview of the result.
- Lock the intended skill if the interface offers that option, then verify the preview still shows it.
- Confirm only when the displayed result matches what you expect.
The guides cite Voodoo on Doll Hen and Titan Mode on Founder Rooster as examples of native skills, and report that fusion can carry a chosen ability to another fighter. Those examples do not establish that every skill has a known, stable donor or that all fighters can inherit every ability.
