To get both trinkets, equip Sticky Fingers and repeatedly attempt to steal from the matching living Aphid: regular Aphids are associated with Speed Droplet, while Woolly Aphids are associated with Frozen Droplet. No verified drop rate or guaranteed faster method is established, so expect repeated attempts.
What to steal from each Aphid
| Trinket | Target | Reported effect |
|---|---|---|
| Speed Droplet | Regular Aphid | Quickness; one guide reports about 10% faster movement. |
| Frozen Droplet | Woolly Aphid | Minty Dodge, described as a chilling burst triggered when dodging. |
These target and perk descriptions come from community references and guides, not official developer documentation. The roughly 10% movement figure is guide-reported, not a verified measurement. See the Grounded Wiki trinket reference and the guides from NerdsChalk and its Abyss trinket guide.
Get Sticky Fingers before farming
Sticky Fingers is the prerequisite the guides identify for stealing these items. One location guide places it in the Abyss, inside Chewed Gum that can be broken with a Croakwurst. The location details are guide-reported; confirm them in your game, as a patch-specific route has not been established. See AllThings.how’s Sticky Fingers location guide.

- Equip Sticky Fingers. You need it equipped to use the steal approach described by the guides.
- For Speed Droplet, find regular Aphids. Attempt a steal from a living Aphid, then repeat with other attempts if the trinket does not appear.
- For Frozen Droplet, find Woolly Aphids. Use the same repeated-steal approach on this species.
The guides do not provide a measured drop probability. They also do not establish a particular number of attempts, a guaranteed drop, or a patch version in which the method was tested.
Does saving and reloading make the farm faster?
One guide suggests saving and reloading after unsuccessful attempts, but there is no official confirmation or controlled evidence that reloading rerolls a steal or improves the odds in the current version. Treat it as an unverified tactic rather than a dependable shortcut. The available guides were updated in 2026, but do not identify a game build, so version-specific behavior remains unconfirmed.
