Thor is the larger, wider and more visually dominant centerpiece; Kratos is slightly heavier but uses a narrower footprint and offers more interchangeable display configurations. Both 1/3-scale statues are oversized polystone pieces that need a reinforced, level location rather than an ordinary wall shelf. If your space or budget is limited, the 6-inch articulated Kratos figure is the practical alternative.
Quick verdict: which God of War collectible fits your room?
Choose the regular Thor statue when maximum height, width and character presence matter. Its themed base, fabric cloak and illuminated Mjölnir make it read as a centerpiece from across a room, but the statue occupies substantial floor or cabinet space and weighs about as much as a packed piece of furniture.
Choose the 1/3-scale Kratos Ultimate when you want a narrower display, a slightly heavier physical object and a collection of alternate weapons and heads. Kratos is shorter in his standard configuration, yet the Draupnir-spear setup adds height and width. The interchangeable parts also let you change the scene without buying another statue.

The listed prices are not a single guaranteed market price: the two retailers show small differences, and preorder, shipping, tax and import charges can change the delivered total. The dimensions are approximate product specifications, not a promise that every prototype or final edition will measure identically.
How much larger is Thor than Kratos?
Footprint and visual height
In the standard configurations, Thor is about 10 cm taller and 23 cm wider than Kratos. Both extend roughly 61 cm front-to-back, so depth is the constraint that is easiest to underestimate when planning a cabinet. Thor’s approximately 83 cm width creates a footprint of about 5,063 square centimetres (83 × 61), while the standard Kratos footprint is about 3,660 square centimetres (60 × 61). That makes Thor’s plan-view footprint roughly 38% larger before allowing clearance for packing, doors or cables.

Kratos is not a small statue. His standard height is approximately 95 cm, and the spear configuration rises to about 102 cm and widens to approximately 64 cm. Thor’s DX Mjölnir Recall pose can reach approximately 118 cm, making it the only option in this comparison that clearly approaches the height of a typical one-metre display bay.
Weight and structural load
Thor’s regular specification is about 55 kg. Kratos is listed at about 57.6 kg, despite being shorter and narrower. The difference is small enough that a shelf rated for “large collectibles” should not be assumed safe; check its actual load rating, how that rating is distributed, and whether the rating applies to a centered static load.

Polystone is dense and can be damaged by a fall or a concentrated point load. A level floor plinth or purpose-built cabinet with a continuous top is safer than a floating shelf. If the display sits upstairs, verify the floor and cabinet load path with a qualified professional rather than relying on the statue’s footprint alone.
Thor statue versions and what the extra money buys
Regular REMGOW-02
The regular Thor is a 1/3-scale polystone statue listed at $1,599 by the manufacturer. It is approximately 105 cm high, 83 cm wide and 61 cm deep, with an approximate weight of 55 kg. The themed base establishes the scene, while the fabric cloak adds a material contrast that a fully sculpted garment would not provide. An LED Mjölnir feature supplies the illuminated focal point.
The manufacturer estimates three cartons for the regular edition. That estimate matters when measuring lifts, stair turns and storage space: three boxes may arrive separately or require temporary staging before assembly.
DX Bonus Version and Mjölnir Recall pose
The DX Bonus Version is listed at $1,999. Its Mjölnir Recall pose reaches approximately 118 cm high. The listing warns that the piece is in development and that final size can change by up to 10% and final weight by up to 10 kg. Treat the published height as a planning figure with tolerance, not as a cabinet’s exact maximum clearance.
The DX premium is therefore buying more than a price label: it adds a different action pose and DX parts that can alter the silhouette and the required clearance. Measure for the tallest supplied configuration, including the hammer and any raised elements, even if you expect to display the default pose.

Prime 1 describes Thor as “A destructive force bound by an inescapable bloodline.” That character emphasis is reflected in the statue’s broad stance and large hammer silhouette; it is designed to dominate a display rather than disappear into a crowded shelf.
Kratos Ultimate: a narrower centerpiece with more configurations

The 1/3-scale Kratos Ultimate is approximately 95 cm high, 60 cm wide and 61 cm deep, at about 57.6 kg. The standard footprint is narrower than Thor’s, but the statue remains a heavy, near-meter-tall centerpiece.
The box includes alternate display choices: swappable heads, the Leviathan axe, Blades of Chaos, shields and the Draupnir spear. The spear configuration is approximately 102 cm high and 64 cm wide. Before assembling a pose, place the base and the intended weapon on the display surface and verify that the widest point does not collide with a cabinet side or glass door.
Lighting and power uncertainty
Kratos includes LED Mimir eyes, but the power method was still listed as to be determined. Sideshow tells buyers to be prepared for batteries or USB cables depending on the final supply. Do not drill a cabinet or route a permanent cable until the delivered instructions identify the connector, voltage and cable exit. Keep a reachable power source and enough slack to remove the head or base for maintenance.

Thor and Kratos are close enough in price that the decision should be based on space and presentation, not a few dollars of listing variance. The compact Kratos changes the budget category entirely, but it is an articulated figure rather than a 1/3-scale polystone statue.

Display requirements: measure the location before ordering
Use a three-dimensional measurement plan
- Measure the clear width, depth and height of the intended location with doors, trim and lighting removed from the calculation.
- Reserve the published footprint plus several centimetres at every edge for assembly, cleaning and cable routing. For Thor, begin with at least 83 × 61 cm; for standard Kratos, begin with at least 60 × 61 cm; for the spear or DX poses, use the larger listed width or height.
- Measure the delivery route: doorway width, lift interior, stair landings, turns and the height of any cabinet opening. A statue that fits the final shelf can still be impossible to carry there in its carton.
- Check the load rating of the whole support, not only the top panel. Include the base, statue, protective mat, lighting hardware and any temporary assembly weight.
- Confirm that the surface is level and cannot rock. Shim the furniture according to its manufacturer’s instructions; do not wedge loose objects under a polystone base.
Floor plinth, cabinet or shelf?
A floor plinth or low, reinforced cabinet is the safest default for either 1/3-scale statue. It keeps the center of gravity low and avoids transferring roughly 55–58 kg to a wall fixing. A deep display cabinet can work if its top, internal shelf supports and floor are rated for the load and the doors provide enough clearance for the widest weapon or hammer pose.
A normal floating shelf is a poor match unless an installer has verified the wall structure, bracket capacity and fasteners for the concentrated load. Drywall anchors alone are not a structural plan. Glass shelves, narrow bookcase tops and particleboard panels with unknown ratings should be treated as unsuitable until proven otherwise.
Clearance for lighting and viewing
Leave room behind the base for a USB lead or battery access if the final Kratos power system requires it. Keep LEDs away from trapped fabric and do not pinch a cable under the base. Viewers need lateral clearance to see Thor’s hammer and Kratos’s weapons; a technically adequate footprint can still look cramped if adjacent objects overlap the silhouette.

Sideshow labels both large statues as oversized items and calculates shipping by dimensional weight rather than simply multiplying the scale by a courier’s standard parcel rate. The Kratos listing warns that the statue may ship in multiple boxes. Thor’s manufacturer estimate is three cartons. Request a delivery appointment when available and ensure more than one adult is present for moving cartons and lifting components.

Safe unpacking sequence
- Clear a padded assembly area larger than the base and lay out the instructions, gloves and a parts inventory before opening the first inner box.
- Move cartons close to the final display location before removing heavy components. Do not drag a carton across a finished floor or lift the statue by a weapon, cloak or decorative projection.
- Have one person support the base while another aligns torso, limbs and accessories. Insert pegs straight; twisting a keyed connection can chip polystone.
- Install the least fragile large parts first, then add weapons, heads, shields and fabric elements. Keep unused alternate parts in labeled, padded storage.
- Connect lighting only after the statue is stable. Use the supplied power method, keep cables away from pinch points and test each LED before closing a cabinet.
- Photograph the completed statue from all sides and record any existing seam, paint rub or missing part immediately for a damage claim.

What the 6-inch Kratos figure can—and cannot—replace
The reported PlayStation Shapes Collection Kratos is approximately 6 inches tall and has 31 points of articulation. At $29.99 in the published description, it is suitable for a desk, ordinary bookcase or shallow display cabinet where a 1/3-scale statue would overhang the shelf or exceed its load rating.
Articulation makes it easier to pose beside games and other figures, and the small scale lowers the consequences of a move or accidental bump. It does not reproduce the large statue’s polystone mass, tailored fabric, illuminated Mimir eyes, themed base or room-filling silhouette. Treat it as a different collecting format, not a miniature version with identical materials and features.
Common pitfalls and how to avoid them
- Planning only for height: Thor’s width and both statues’ approximately 61 cm depth are just as likely to cause a fit failure. Measure all three axes and the opened cabinet door.
- Ignoring pose changes: Thor DX and Kratos’s spear configuration alter height or width. Plan for the largest supplied configuration, not the pose shown in a single product photo.
- Assuming the price is delivered: Oversized dimensional-weight shipping, tax and possible import charges can materially change the total.
- Using a decorative shelf: Unknown load ratings, narrow brackets and flexible particleboard are warning signs for a 55–58 kg object.
- Moving by delicate parts: Lift from the base and supported body sections. Hammer heads, blades, shields and fabric are not handles.
- Discarding packaging immediately: Keep cartons and molded inserts until inspection, assembly and the retailer’s damage window are complete.
- Routing power before confirming the connector: Kratos’s LED Mimir eye power method was not finalized in the listing; wait for the supplied instructions before committing to a cable path.
- Overlooking environmental conditions: Avoid direct sunlight, damp locations, heat sources and unstable furniture. Dust fabric and painted surfaces with a soft, clean brush rather than applying household cleaners.
Final buying framework
Start with the display location, not the character preference. If the support cannot safely carry an object in the mid-50-kilogram range and provide roughly a metre of vertical clearance, remove both 1/3-scale statues from consideration. If the support passes, decide whether your room benefits more from Thor’s broad silhouette and illuminated hammer or Kratos’s narrower base and alternate equipment.

Thor regular is the balanced choice for maximum presence without the DX version’s prototype-size uncertainty. Thor DX is for collectors who specifically want the Mjölnir Recall pose and can accommodate the tallest configuration. Kratos Ultimate suits a collector who values pose changes and can accept a slightly heavier statue. The 6-inch Kratos is the correct answer when the available surface is a normal shelf, desk or cabinet—or when the budget should remain near $30 rather than near $2,000.
