Verdict: Go Insurance Go Plus Annual Multi-Trip is designed for people taking several trips during one policy year who want mid-tier cover with unlimited overseas medical and evacuation limits, subject to policy terms. It is not unlimited-duration travel insurance: each trip is capped at 31 days by default, or 50 or 60 days if that option is selected and shown on the certificate. The cover has a fixed $200 excess, optional benefit packages and significant item-level limits, so the certificate and current policy wording matter as much as the headline limits.
This is a document-based review of the Australian product using Go Insurance’s Leisure Travel Insurance PDS V8.1RET, effective 1 August 2026. No purchase, personalized quote or claim was tested.
What does Go Plus Annual Multi-Trip cover?
Go Plus is the middle cover level in Go Insurance’s Australian Leisure Travel Insurance product, between Go Basic and Go Elite. Annual Multi-Trip is intended for multiple shorter journeys during a 12-month policy period. Go Insurance says the annual policy can cover an unlimited number of trips, but every separate trip must stay within the maximum duration selected when the policy is bought. Go Insurance’s product information and its FAQ describe the annual option; the controlling limits and terms are in the current PDS.

The current PDS names Certain Underwriters at Lloyd’s led by Brit Insurance, Syndicate BRT2987, as underwriter. Go Insurance, operated by Go Unlimited Pty Ltd, arranges and administers the cover. The policy wording attached to an existing Certificate of Insurance may be an earlier version; the version in force when that policy was issued governs it.

How long can each trip be?
The default maximum is 31 days per trip. When buying the annual policy, a higher maximum of 50 or 60 days may be available; it must be selected and appear on the Certificate of Insurance. The annual policy does not remove this per-trip cap. Check the certificate against the length of every planned journey before departure.
For an eligible domestic trip within Australia, the insured must travel at least 150 km from home or work and have at least one night of pre-booked accommodation. The PDS also includes 30 days of snow-sports cover with Annual Multi-Trip, subject to the policy’s activity rules, circumstances and exclusions.

Go Plus benefit limits
The following Go Plus limits are per insured person unless identified otherwise. They are maximums under the schedule, not guaranteed claim payments: eligibility, definitions, exclusions, sub-limits and other policy conditions still apply. Some benefits are optional or grouped into selectable packages, so check that the relevant cover appears in the quote and certificate.
| Benefit | Go Plus limit or structure |
|---|---|
| Overseas medical expenses, emergency repatriation, additional travel and accommodation, and funeral expenses | Unlimited, subject to policy terms and exclusions |
| Emergency dental treatment | $750 |
| Hospital cash benefit | $2,000 total, paid at $50 per day |
| Death or personal accident | $20,000 |
| Daily living allowance | $2,500 total, paid at $50 per day |
| Personal property | $7,500 total; $4,000 combined limit for valuables and electronic equipment; $2,000 maximum for an electronic item and $500 for other property items |
| Delayed luggage or emergency purchases | $400 |
| Personal money and passport loss | $1,000 personal money, including a $250 cash sub-limit; $500 for loss of passport |
| Delayed travel and missed connections | $1,000 |
| Hijack | $5,000 total, paid at $100 per day |
| Special events | $2,000 |
| Travel-service-provider insolvency | $1,500 |
| Domestic pets | $250 |
| Personal liability | $2.5 million |
| Legal expenses | $10,000 |
| Rental vehicle excess and return of rental vehicle | $5,000 excess; $750 return costs |
| Cancellation and curtailment | Optional; the selected amount is shown on the Certificate of Insurance and applies to all insured people on it |
These limits are from Go Insurance’s current PDS schedule. A high total property limit does not mean every item is covered up to that amount: the combined valuables-and-electronics limit and the individual item limits can constrain reimbursement. The policy also identifies unattended belongings, inadequate care, missing proof of ownership, failure to report loss or theft, and valuables or electronics checked as luggage as claim risks.

What you need to check before buying
Options and cancellation cover
Cancellation/curtailment, property, disruption, legal and lifestyle or sporting benefits may be selected or removed as packages. Do not assume every scheduled benefit is automatically included. For cancellation cover in particular, verify the amount you selected, that it is recorded on the certificate, and that it applies to the insured people and costs you intend to protect.
Medical conditions and eligibility
Pre-existing medical conditions are covered only when they are automatically included or accepted by Go Insurance and shown on the certificate. The PDS is the place to confirm the assessment process, conditions and exclusions for your situation; a general benefit limit is not confirmation that a particular condition is covered.

Destinations, activities and other travellers
Declare destinations and check that the countries or regions are shown on the certificate. The PDS excludes travel to destinations under a DFAT “Do Not Travel” warning and identifies excluded countries. A dependent child must be named on the certificate and ordinarily travel with at least one insured adult named on the policy, subject to the provisions for unaccompanied young travellers. Check the exact wording for cruise travel, sports and any activities outside ordinary sightseeing.

Go Insurance states that the standard excess for Annual Multi-Trip is $200. The PDS says the excess cannot be changed on an annual policy. An excess is the amount you may have to contribute toward an accepted claim under the policy’s rules; how it applies can depend on the claim and benefit. Read the wording rather than assuming one excess calculation applies identically to every claim. Go Insurance’s FAQ also addresses what an excess is.

What will the policy cost?
There is no supported universal price for Go Plus Annual Multi-Trip. Go Insurance says premiums vary with cover selection, traveller age, medical-condition cover, optional extras and travel area. A useful comparison requires a quote for the same travellers, dates, destinations and options; a price without those details would not establish whether this policy is cheaper or better value than another.
How to compare it with another annual policy
Compare policies using the same people and itinerary, then check the details that can change the practical value of cover:
- Maximum duration allowed for each trip, not just whether trips are covered throughout the year.
- Medical and evacuation definitions, exclusions and limits.
- Cancellation amount and whether it is optional.
- Total baggage limit, combined category limits and per-item caps.
- Excess and whether it can be adjusted.
- How pre-existing conditions are assessed and documented.
- Rules for activities, cruises and snow sports.
- Age and Australian residency eligibility, destination restrictions and certificate requirements.
- Premium quoted for matching dates, destinations, travellers and options.

Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsWhich PDS applies to my policy?
Use the PDS version that applied when your policy was issued, not automatically the latest version available online. Go Insurance’s current Australian Leisure Travel Insurance PDS is V8.1RET, effective 1 August 2026; an existing certificate may be governed by an earlier version. Keep the PDS and certificate together and use the certificate to verify selected options, destinations, trip duration and named insureds.
Can I change my policy after purchase?
Whether a change is possible and how it affects cover depends on the requested change and Go Insurance’s policy administration rules. Contact Go Insurance through the channels shown in your policy documents before relying on a change, and obtain updated written confirmation or a replacement certificate. Do not assume that a conversation alone changes the insured options or trip-duration selection recorded on the certificate.
