Open the Snapchat Chat where the Streak disappeared and look for Restore beside it. If the option appears, tap it and follow the in-app instructions. If it is missing or the attempt fails, you can ask Snapchat Support to review the case—but recovery is limited to recently expired Streaks and is not guaranteed.
1. Check the affected Chat for Restore
Open the one-on-one or group Chat that had the Streak. Look beside the Chat for the Restore control. Snapchat identifies this in-app option as the practical sign that the Streak is currently eligible for restoration.
2. Tap Restore and follow the prompts
If Restore is available, tap it and complete the instructions shown in Snapchat. The flow may offer an in-app purchase; availability and eligibility are limited. Snapchat’s guidance is: “If you see it, tap ‘Restore’ and follow the instructions in the app to get your Streak back.” Snapchat Support: I lost my Streak. How do I restore it?

3. If Restore is missing, consider when the Streak expired
Snapchat says only recently expired Streaks can be restored. If Restore is not shown, too much time may have passed, but Snapchat does not publish an exact hours-or-days cutoff in its guidance. There is no separate timing estimate you can use to determine eligibility with certainty.

4. Ask Snapchat Support to review an unsuccessful attempt
If you cannot restore the Streak in the app, submit Snapchat’s Streak restoration request form. A support request is an escalation, not a guarantee: Snapchat can restore only recently expired Streaks, and its guidance does not promise a response time or success rate. Open Snapchat’s restoration guidance for the request option.
5. Request a refund through the app store if you bought Restore by mistake
Snapchat directs refund requests for accidental Streak Restore purchases to the store used for the purchase:

Does Snapchat+ include a free Streak Restore?
Yes. Snapchat says Snapchat+ subscribers receive one free in-app Streak Restore per subscription month. The monthly cycle follows the date the subscription began, and unused free Restores do not roll over. Snapchat+ is not a universal requirement for restoring an eligible Streak; check the affected Chat for the Restore control first.
How to avoid losing another Streak
One-on-one Streaks
Both people must send each other a photo or video Snap in the Chat every day. If an hourglass emoji appears, Snapchat says the Streak is about to expire; exchange a photo or video Snap as soon as possible.
Group Streaks
For a group Chat Streak, most members must send a photo or video Snap in the group each day. Text messages alone do not meet the photo-or-video Snap requirement described by Snapchat.

Snapchat’s official guidance does not give an exact Restore price, a precise eligibility cutoff, a support response time, or a restoration success rate. Check the current in-app offer and official support flow rather than relying on a quoted price or deadline.
