To earn “Mid Summer?” in Mortal Shell II, stop for Marigold on the opening route to your first Shell, accept the flower crown she offers, then continue into the Festival. Do this before claiming the Shell: guides report that passing Marigold or declining the crown can make the trophy missable on that playthrough.
Where to find Marigold
Marigold appears on the opening village route as you head toward your first Shell, during the prologue. Watch for her before you claim the Shell; this is not a later-game location. Guides do not establish a precise map coordinate or distance marker, so follow the opening route and look out for the interaction rather than searching for a specific waypoint. NerdsChalk’s guide describes its route as reflecting the August 17, 2026 Advanced Access build, while PowerPyx’s trophy roadmap and prologue walkthrough also cover the interaction; the walkthrough says it was checked for the September 4, 2026 launch build.
How to unlock “Mid Summer?”
- Follow the opening village route toward your first Shell.
- Stop when you reach Marigold and interact with her when the flower-crown prompt appears.
- Accept the crown rather than declining or walking past the interaction.
- Continue into the Festival. The trophy’s listed description is “Enter the Festival.” Specialist trophy guides list it as a bronze trophy.
The route and requirement are reported by specialist guides; they should not be treated as a quoted developer statement. The available sources do not provide a reliable map coordinate, unlock-rate figure, or average completion time for this trophy.
What if you already missed the interaction?
If you passed Marigold or declined the crown, the guides describe the trophy as missable on that playthrough. PowerPyx’s stated recovery is to start a new save in a different slot and repeat the prologue interaction. The sources do not establish that New Game+ will restore the opportunity, nor do they give a universal save-recovery procedure for every platform or build. PowerPyx’s roadmap is the source for the new-save recommendation.
