There is no verified list of all Gears of War: E-Day ribbon names or how to earn them. Emergence Network’s War Journal catalogue reports 149 ribbon records, but its entries have identifiers and artwork only—not confirmed display names or ribbon earn conditions. That means a complete “all ribbons and how to get them” guide cannot be verified from the available catalogue.
What the 149 ribbon records actually tell you
Emergence Network’s community War Journal reference, marked updated August 15, 2026, reports 149 ribbon records. It describes the War Journal as an archive, not a progression track, and says the ribbon entries have identifiers and artwork but no displayed names or earning criteria. The count and those findings are the reference’s report, not a published developer list.
Artwork and identifiers are not enough to establish what a ribbon means or how to earn it. In particular, a word that resembles another label in the game does not prove it is a ribbon title. The reference notes apparent matches with names elsewhere—Clear, Executioner, First Blood, Grenadier, Headhunter, Helping Hand, MVP, Medic, Smooth Operator, and Spray and Pray—but says those occur in unrelated areas such as armor mods, enemy types, or class names. None is confirmed there as a ribbon name.
How to look up a ribbon you saw in-game
- Use the exact text shown. If a post-match screen or ribbon tile displays an identifier, search for that exact wording rather than inferring a name from its artwork.
- Keep search terms tentative. Words such as “streak,” “revive,” or “headshot” may help locate a discussion or record, but they are search terms—not proof of a ribbon name or its earn condition.
- Check the War Journal again after updates. The catalogue does not establish whether a later patch or another in-game screen exposes names or conditions missing from its listing. Treat newly surfaced details as confirmed only when the game or a reliable source explicitly identifies them.
Ribbons are not medals or customization unlocks
Do not use medal requirements as ribbon earn conditions. The same reference describes 26 medals across five named families with five tiers per family, plus one untiered special, but does not publish thresholds there. Medals are a separate system.

The Coalition’s multiplayer overview describes general customization routes: seasonal and event challenges, achievements, medals, and Coins earned in matches and spent in the Barracks. It also notes exceptions for Premium Edition content, charity offers, and partnership items, and says expired limited-time challenge rewards later enter the Barracks after a cooldown for Coins or Iron. These statements explain customization progression; they do not establish that any of those routes unlock a particular ribbon.

Xbox Wire’s launch guide says Gears of War: E-Day became available worldwide on October 6, 2026, for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, Game Pass, and Steam. Xbox’s product page describes Horde Siege as PvE and Versus as PvP. The War Journal reference lists Campaign, Horde Siege, and Versus as its three top-level tabs, but that structure does not provide ribbon names or criteria.
