Overrun is Gears of War: E-Day’s Act 2, Chapter 5, and it follows Flyboys. Move through the hangar, catwalk, red-lit tunnel, rally-point building, and runway while advancing with your squad. The route has three optional Hard Cases; a separate collectible guide also lists one Hangar Data Pad, though guides differ on its exact landmark.
Overrun route and combat walkthrough
Regroup in the hangar
The chapter opens during an attack. Move left toward the truck and use the trucks and concrete barriers as cover while clearing enemies. When you reach the building entrance, wait for Bravo Team. The walkthrough says the door stays locked until the squad arrives.
Clear the catwalk
After the cutscene and creature encounter, take the stairs up to the catwalk and deal with the Drones. The walkthrough recommends Reyes’ Signature Longshot for these targets and using cover rather than exposing yourself. Before leaving, check the far corner for a Hard Case.

Regroup with the squad and advance through the interior, clearing enemies from cover as you go. Check the entrance to the red glowing tunnel for another Hard Case.

Reach the rally point and find Zee
Continue along the interior route, moving between cover. The walkthrough advises switching back to Reyes’ Signature Longshot for target control. In the next building, check the immediate turn for the final Hard Case, then continue to Zee.
Advance toward the Raven
Once the door opens, use nearby cover and move forward with the squad. At the runway, follow the rappel route toward the helipad. The closing sequence has the squad attempting to reach a Raven; a creature strikes the aircraft, and the story proceeds to Act 3, Chapter 1: Stranded.

Hard Case locations and rewards
The walkthrough reports three optional Hard Cases along the route. These are upgrade pickups, separate from the chapter collectible.

Find the Hangar Data Pad
A collectibles guide lists one collectible for Overrun: the Point Fairlight Hangar Data Pad. It places it on the left side of the hangar before you advance, but another description differs on the precise hangar landmark. Check the hangar as you begin and verify the exact spot in-game or with a visual guide rather than relying on a more specific directional claim.

What to know before the final push
- Stay close to cover while clearing enemies, particularly in the hangar and interior sections.
- Wait for Bravo Team at the hangar entrance if the door is still locked.
- Bring Reyes’ Signature Longshot to the catwalk Drone encounter, as the walkthrough recommends.
- Look for the three Hard Cases as you pass their route locations; the chapter moves onward toward the Raven and does not present them as a separate objective.
