Nexus Mods has removed the Mags ‘Beep Bop’ Carter joke mod for Gears of War: E-Day. The project replaced 2,967 English Mags Carter dialogue assets with original, droid-like beeps and squeals across gameplay and cutscenes; Nexus has not published a detailed reason for the delisting.
What the Mags ‘Beep Bop’ Carter mod changed
Created by SlayerOfThunder, the mod was designed as a complete comedic voice replacement for Mags Carter. Nexus Mods described it as replacing 2,967 identified English dialogue assets with original droid noises. The affected material covered both in-game conversations and cutscene tracks rather than only a handful of recurring lines.

The replacement audio used varied chirps, whistles and exaggerated squeals. According to the listing, each sound was procedurally composed to follow the original timing, pauses and delivery. The description also said the project did not use sampled film clips, cloned voices or Mags’ original spoken dialogue.

Nexus’ description listed 8,901 packaged asset files extracted byte-for-byte. That figure refers to the files packaged for the mod, while 2,967 is the count of identified English dialogue assets being replaced; they are different measurements and should not be treated as the same total.

Timeline of the Nexus listing and removal
- 9 October 2026: The Nexus page showed the original upload and latest update date as 9 October. It identified version 0.2.0-flair-v3 and support for the English (US) Steam build 25724756.
- After the listing went live: Nexus’ page recorded that a separate scripted installer was quarantined by the site’s automated checks. That installer was not offered as the installation route; users were directed to the listed files and deployment instructions instead.
- 13 October 2026: iXBT Games reported that Nexus Mods had removed the joke mod after it replaced almost three thousand Mags lines with robotic or broken-record sounds.
- Current page status: The Nexus listing displays “Download: 0 of 0,” indicating that the file is no longer downloadable from that page.
Why did Nexus Mods remove it?
There is no formal, detailed Nexus Mods statement identifying the reason for the overall delisting. The available page confirms automated quarantine of a separate scripted installer, but it does not say that the project was removed for copyright, harassment, discrimination, artificial-intelligence policy violations or any other specific category.
A Reddit community report claims the creator received an informal warning after sharing alternative download links following the removal. That is community reporting, not an official Nexus explanation, so it cannot establish the platform’s motive or policy finding.

What is confirmed, and what is not
| Question | Confirmed information | What remains unestablished |
|---|---|---|
| What did the mod replace? | 2,967 identified English Mags Carter dialogue assets, covering gameplay and cutscenes. | Whether every language version or non-English build was supported. |
| What did the replacement sound like? | Procedurally composed chirps, whistles and exaggerated squeals matched to original timing and pauses. | Independent testing of every line or a separate audio-quality review. |
| Which game version was targeted? | English (US) Steam build 25724756. | Support for console editions, other languages or later Steam builds. |
| Why was it removed? | Nexus removed the listing; its page now has no downloadable files. | A public, definitive policy reason from Nexus Mods. |
| Was the installer involved? | A separate scripted installer was quarantined by automated checks and was not offered through the page. | Whether that quarantine caused, contributed to or was unrelated to the overall delisting. |
Where did the project go?
AyakaMods carries a page for the same project. Its description also refers to packs replacing identified spoken dialogue used by gameplay and cutscene tracks, documenting that the project existed outside Nexus Mods.

The available information does not independently verify AyakaMods’ file integrity, the current availability of its downloads or whether its packages match the Nexus version. Rank #3
- Disc only. Original case and manual not included. Will come packaged in a generic case.
- This renewed game has been cleaned, tested, and shows minimal wear.
What players should check before using any repost
- Build match: Confirm that the package explicitly supports the English (US) Steam build 25724756 or the version you are running.
- Scope: Check whether the package covers both gameplay and cutscene dialogue, rather than only selected sound banks.
- File provenance: Prefer a clearly documented archive from the original creator; do not assume a mirror is identical to version 0.2.0-flair-v3.
- Installer behavior: Be especially cautious with scripted installers, since Nexus recorded that a separate installer was quarantined by automated checks.
- Integrity and reversibility: Back up the original game files, verify archives with a trusted malware scanner and retain a clean path to restore the unmodified audio.
Bottom line on the delisting
The Mags ‘Beep Bop’ project was a large, narrowly targeted audio conversion: thousands of English Mags Carter lines were replaced with timed procedural droid sounds for PC gameplay and cinematics. Nexus Mods listed it on 9 October 2026 and later removed the download, but the platform has not publicly explained the broader delisting. The quarantined installer and the existence of an AyakaMods page are documented facts; neither proves why Nexus acted or that an alternative copy is safe.
