Enemy Lines is Act 3, Chapter 2 of Gears of War: E-Day, following Stranded. Follow the tunnels toward the storm sewers, take the collectible detours around the subway wreckage, and collect Erick Davis’s COG Tags beside the sewer supply cache before starting the Corpser fight. In the arena, use the pillars: bait the Corpser into attacking one so it falls onto the creature.

Route through Enemy Lines

The main route is largely linear, but several collectibles sit off the path. Use Tac-Com to highlight nearby items, and listen for the COG Omen audio cue, as TechWiser recommends in its Enemy Lines collectibles guide.

1. Search the red-lit cavern

At the start, follow the objective marker into the cavern. The route bends right and descends. Before continuing, check the narrow passage on the right for the Damaged Gnasher Shotgun and the first Hard Case. Continue to the Locust supply cavern and search the pile or crates on the left for Parchment and Powder Pouch. The supply cache is also a useful place to resupply before the subway station.

2. Clear the subway station

Clear the station, using elevation and ranged weapons where practical. On the right side of the wrecked train, near the Kalona poster, look for a crate containing Parchment with Indecipherable Writing. Before moving on, search the lobby and upper balcony for Hard Cases.

  • CO‑OP YOUR WAY — Play online with up to four players across Campaign, Horde Siege, and Versus, or team up locally with 2‑player split‑screen co‑op on console.

3. Take both detours by the crashed trains

After the Wretches ambush, climb the broken train sections. Take the side tunnel and stairs down near the wreckage to find Beth Avila’s COG Tags. For the Maintenance Worker’s Bloodied Flashlight, search the dark tunnel leading away from the objective toward the red glow and wreckage.

4. Reach the storm sewers

Return to the main route, cross toward the sinkhole, and clear the hostiles. Control radios that rescue will not come until the squad reaches the surface, so continue toward the storm sewers. Find Private First Class Erick Davis’s COG Tags beside the COG supply cache. Get them before advancing into the boss encounter; the guide from AllThingsHow warns that the fight can begin before you can return for them.

How to beat the Corpser

The dependable tactic in both AllThingsHow’s walkthrough and Gamer Social Club’s guide is to make the arena pillars do the damage.

  1. Position yourself behind an arena pillar.
  2. Draw the Corpser into attacking your position so it hits the pillar and brings it down onto itself.
  3. Repeat with another pillar as the fight continues, then respond to the opening that follows rather than relying on gunfire to solve the encounter immediately.

The guides differ on the exact sequence after the first pillar hits. Gamer Social Club says the Corpser initially cannot be hurt by weapons, then retreats to another area where it can be shot; it also reports Tickers and Juvies joining the fight. AllThingsHow describes repeated pillar hits followed by a ceiling collapse. Treat those details as walkthrough-specific rather than a guaranteed sequence for every run.
