Garmin CIRQA is worth considering if you want a screen-free tracker with core health and sleep features and would rather pay once than renew a membership. Garmin lists it at $199.99 in the US, and says its core features work through Garmin Connect without a required subscription. WHOOP’s US plans start at $199 per year, with the wearable included. That makes CIRQA potentially cheaper over time—but not automatically the better choice: WHOOP’s tier and features may suit your goals better, and the available evidence does not establish that either tracker is more accurate.

How do CIRQA and WHOOP differ in price?

The key distinction is the payment model. Garmin charges $199.99 upfront for CIRQA; WHOOP charges an annual membership fee that includes its wearable. Prices below are US prices on the companies’ official pages, accessed October 7, 2026. They may differ in other regions or change over time.

Option US price What the price covers
Garmin CIRQA $199.99, one-time listed price Tracker; core features work with Garmin Connect without a required subscription
WHOOP One $199 per year Membership with wearable included
WHOOP Peak $239 per year Membership with wearable included
WHOOP Life $359 per year Membership with wearable included

Garmin Connect+ is optional, not required to use CIRQA’s core features. Garmin associates Connect+ with premium features such as live activities, Coach training plans, nutrition tracking, and Active Intelligence. Check Garmin’s CIRQA product page for current product details.

What the prices mean over multiple years

At the listed US prices, CIRQA’s $199.99 upfront cost is about the same as one year of WHOOP One. If prices stayed unchanged, two years of WHOOP One would total $398, three years $597, and five years $995, before any taxes or other costs. Those are simple calculations from the current $199 annual fee, not a guarantee of future pricing. Compare against the WHOOP tier you would actually use: Peak and Life have different annual prices and feature sets.

What does CIRQA do, and what does WHOOP offer?

Garmin CIRQA

Garmin describes CIRQA as a screenless band for 24/7 health monitoring. Listed features include sleep score and coaching, stress tracking, Body Battery, wrist-based heart rate, Pulse Ox, and women’s health tracking. Feature availability can depend on the market, and Garmin says CIRQA is not a medical device. Treat its health measurements as wellness information rather than a diagnosis.

CIRQA’s lack of a display shapes how you use it: the band does not show information on a screen, so you check the Garmin Connect app instead. For outdoor walks, rides, and runs, Garmin says connected GPS uses a compatible iPhone or Android phone. CIRQA does not have standalone GPS.

WHOOP

WHOOP describes its One offering around sleep, strain, and recovery insights, with additional health features available on higher tiers. The practical question is whether those tier-specific features and membership experience are useful to you—not simply whether one product’s feature list looks longer. WHOOP’s official Membership Pricing page lists current US prices and inclusions.

Which tracker fits the way you train and live?

Choose CIRQA if you want to avoid a required membership

CIRQA is the more straightforward fit if you want Garmin’s listed core health and sleep features, do not need a screen, and are comfortable reviewing results in an app. Its $199.99 listed US price is a one-time device cost rather than a recurring fee for those core features. Do not assume every Garmin service is included: Connect+ is optional and adds premium features.

Choose a WHOOP tier if its membership features matter to you

WHOOP may make more sense if you specifically want its sleep, strain, and recovery insights or a higher-tier feature set, and you are willing to pay annually. Compare the One, Peak, and Life inclusions against what you will actually use; paying for a higher tier is difficult to justify if its added features are irrelevant to your routine.

Think about phone dependence and charging

Both products are designed for ongoing wear, but their published battery claims are not directly comparable test results. Garmin says CIRQA lasts up to 10 days between charges; WHOOP says its wearable lasts 14+ days. Your experience may vary, and neither figure establishes which tracker lasts longer under identical conditions.

CIRQA’s app-based design and phone-dependent connected GPS are important trade-offs if you want on-device feedback or to track an outdoor activity without carrying a compatible phone. If you are happy to check an app and bring your phone for connected GPS, those constraints may matter less.

Is CIRQA as accurate as WHOOP?

The available sources do not establish a controlled head-to-head test showing that CIRQA or WHOOP is more accurate. Garmin and WHOOP publish their own features and performance claims, while a hands-on review is a reviewer’s experience rather than a controlled sensor-accuracy comparison. Tom’s Guide’s August 7, 2026 CIRQA review offers an attributed impression of wearing the device; it does not prove medical validity or comparative accuracy.

So, do not choose between them on an assumption that one has been shown to measure sleep, recovery, or activity better. Choose by payment model, the features you need, and whether the screenless, app-centered experience works for you.

Is the $199 Garmin CIRQA worth it?

For someone who wants screen-free health and sleep tracking without a required recurring fee for core features, CIRQA’s $199.99 US list price can be worthwhile—especially if they plan to keep it for several years. It is less compelling if you need on-device information, standalone GPS, or a WHOOP-specific membership feature set. If those WHOOP features are what you value, the annual fee may be worthwhile; if not, a subscription can become an ongoing cost for features you do not use.

Garmin announced CIRQA on July 21, 2026, at a suggested retail price of $199.99. Its announcement describes the product as screen-free and confirms its connected-GPS approach. The current US list price and product features are on Garmin’s official product page.
