The BMX GaNsta Pixel stands out from ordinary multiport chargers because its large display shows power going to individual ports or the charger as a whole. It combines that screen with three USB-C ports, one USB-A port and a compact body. The key choice is between the 100W and 140W versions: their output sharing differs, and the review’s hands-on testing covered the 100W model only.

What the GaNsta Pixel does differently

The most distinctive feature is a large pixel-style display on one side of the charger. A button switches between readings for individual ports and total output, and the display can rotate so its characters remain upright when the charger is plugged in a different orientation. Ed Hardy, the Cult of Mac reviewer, describes the digits as easy to read at a glance and says the readout helps him see how much power is going to connected devices.

The screen is an LCD behind a patterned panel, rather than a separate display for every port. Cult of Mac calls its look “retro-futuristic.” The practical benefit is visibility: when a laptop, tablet and phone are connected, you can check the reported power distribution instead of guessing whether a device is receiving a useful charge. That information can help with troubleshooting, though the display itself does not increase the power available to a device.

100W or 140W: how the power is shared

Both versions have three USB-C ports and one USB-A port, but the amount available to connected devices depends on the model and which ports are occupied. Cult of Mac’s August 27, 2026 review tested the 100W version. Its reported 140W allocation details are descriptions of that variant, not results from the reviewer’s own 140W-unit testing.

The multiport figures matter more than the headline wattage if you regularly charge several devices together. For example, the 100W model’s reported 45W, 30W and 20W allocation across three USB-C connections may suit a laptop, tablet and smaller accessory, but a laptop that needs more power may charge more slowly when the other ports are occupied. On the 140W model, the cited 65W-and-45W arrangement leaves 20W for a third accessory; it is not the same as getting 140W on one port while simultaneously using all the others.

Before choosing, check the power requirements of your laptop and the charging needs of the other devices you expect to plug in at the same time. The reviewer recommends the 140W model for travelers with a MacBook Pro and says the 100W version is well suited to MacBook Air users. Treat that as his guidance, not a universal compatibility guarantee: laptop models and workloads differ, and available output changes with port use.

What the reviewer tested on the 100W model

Ed Hardy reports checking an iPhone 17 at 28W and an iPad Pro at 42W–45W. Those are the reviewer’s reported results for his checks, not guaranteed charging rates for every phone, tablet, cable or use condition. Actual power can vary with the device, battery level, cable and other connected ports.

The point of the screen is that it makes the charger’s reported output visible while you use it. That can be useful if you are trying to work out why a device is charging more slowly than expected, but a displayed wattage should be read as a snapshot of the current setup—not a promise that the same rate will persist in every situation.

Size, travel features and package contents

Cult of Mac gives the charger’s dimensions as 2.5 × 2.4 × 1.4 inches and its weight as 0.46 pounds. The review describes flip-out US prongs and says EU, UK and Australia adapters and a charging cable are included. A B&H listing for the 140W version separately describes a package with a 140W USB-C cable and UK, EU and Australia/New Zealand adapters. Bundle contents can vary by region or SKU, so check the specific listing before relying on those accessories being included.

The review compares the GaNsta Pixel’s size with Apple’s 140W charger, describing it as about 40% smaller in the body and 43% smaller in the summary. Those are two approximate figures from the same review, not an independently reconciled measurement. The more straightforward travel advantage is the combination of a compact reported size, several charging ports and folding US prongs; the included regional adapters may also be useful if they are part of the package sold in your region.

Who should consider it?

Choose the 140W version if

  • Your laptop can benefit from higher single-port output, and you want the option of up to 140W from either of the first two USB-C ports when used alone, as described in the review.
  • You often charge a laptop alongside other devices and have checked how the reported multiport allocation fits your setup.
  • You value being able to see power readings and are comfortable paying the review-listed $10 premium over the 100W model, subject to current pricing.

Choose the 100W version if

  • Your laptop’s needs fit a 100W charger, or you do not need the 140W version’s higher single-port ceiling.
  • The reported 45W, 30W and 20W allocation across its three USB-C ports works for your usual combination of devices.
  • You want the display and four-port layout at the lower of the two prices listed by Cult of Mac.

Look elsewhere if

  • You need a verified power-allocation chart for every combination of USB-C and USB-A ports. The cited review provides only the configurations described above.
  • You need confirmed package contents for a specific country or seller and cannot verify them on that exact listing.
  • You would not use the display to monitor output. Its main distinction is visibility and convenience, not extra charging capacity.
