Decide whether you want wired or wireless
The G305 is wireless and uses one AA battery. Logitech advertises up to 250 hours of battery life, while its support specifications list a weight of 99 g with the battery installed. The Cobra and Rival 3 are wired, so they avoid battery changes but leave a cable on the desk. Choose based on how you use your mouse rather than assuming one connection type is automatically better.

Weight figures are useful only when their measurement conditions are clear. Logitech’s 99 g figure includes the G305’s AA battery; Razer’s approximately 58 g figure excludes the Cobra’s cable and dongle. Those numbers are not directly equivalent to a complete, ready-to-use setup. For the Rival 3, consult SteelSeries’ dimensions and grip guidance and compare them with your hand and preferred grip.

Use button and sensor specifications in context
The G305 and Cobra each have six programmable buttons according to their manufacturers. Razer lists the Cobra’s optical sensor at 8,500 DPI; SteelSeries gives the Rival 3 a 200–8,500 CPI range. DPI and CPI describe sensitivity settings, not a complete measure of tracking quality or gaming performance. A higher maximum by itself is not a reason to choose one mouse over another.
Confirm the price before you buy
A deal roundup is a snapshot, not a price guarantee. The Logitech G203 has been reported below US$50 in deal coverage, but that does not prove the same offer is available now. The Pulsefire Core’s appearance in a 2026 budget roundup likewise does not confirm a current sub-$50 price.
