Layout affects both desk space and access to keys. A smaller board can leave more room for a mouse, but may require adapting if you regularly use a numeric keypad or dedicated navigation keys. Check the exact layout and key arrangement for the model variant before buying; names such as “compact” do not by themselves tell you which keys are retained.

Full-size: keep the number pad
The Razer Huntsman V3 Pro is the full-size choice among these examples. A full-size board is worth considering if you routinely enter numbers or prefer dedicated keys, though it occupies more desk space than compact formats.
TKL: remove the number pad
“TKL” means tenkeyless: a traditional keyboard layout without the numeric keypad. The Logitech G PRO X TKL RAPID is the wired option here. It can suit a setup where a number pad is unnecessary, but it is not the right layout if you rely on one.

75% and 96%: compact alternatives
The ASUS ROG Azoth Extreme is a 75% board; the Azoth 96 HE is a 96% board. Both are compact-format choices, but their percentages are not a substitute for checking a layout diagram. If you need near-full key coverage, compare the 96 HE’s exact arrangement with your current keyboard. If saving space is more important, see whether the 75% layout keeps the keys you use most.

Do you need analog or adjustable input?
Conventional mechanical switches register a key press at a set point; analog-style designs offer adjustable or variable input behavior, depending on the keyboard and its software. ASUS describes the Azoth 96 HE as using magnetic switches, Logitech describes the PRO X TKL RAPID as having wired analog switches, and Razer describes the Huntsman V3 Pro as an analog optical keyboard. These are different implementations, so do not assume their controls or behavior are interchangeable.

- Consider adjustable input if you expect to configure actuation or Rapid Trigger and will take time to set up the relevant software and controls.
- Prefer simplicity if you want a familiar mechanical-keyboard experience and are unlikely to change input settings.
- Judge features by your own use: manufacturer descriptions establish what a product offers, not that it will improve a player’s performance.
Should you choose wired or wireless?
The Azoth 96 HE is listed by ASUS as tri-mode wireless. The Azoth Extreme supports wired, Bluetooth, and RF connections, while the Logitech PRO X TKL RAPID is wired. Consider where the keyboard will sit, whether you want to avoid a cable, and which connection types your devices support. “Wireless” alone does not establish how easily a keyboard switches among the devices in your particular setup; verify that workflow in the product documentation before buying.
What do the premium prices and headline specifications mean?

ASUS lists up to 8000 Hz polling for the Azoth 96 HE and 8000 Hz reporting for the Azoth Extreme with its Polling Rate Booster. These manufacturer specifications are not evidence of a measured advantage in games. The Extreme’s listed reporting figure also depends on that named accessory. Compare features you will use rather than treating a high polling figure as a reason by itself to spend more.
