Gamescom Asia x Thailand Game Show will add four national pavilions in 2026: Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia and the United States. Announced on 15 October 2026, the expansion brings the show to exhibitors from a record 29 countries and regions, with 20 national pavilions representing 12 markets. The event runs 29 October–1 November at Bangkok’s Queen Sirikit National Convention Center.
Which countries are bringing pavilions in 2026?
The newly announced pavilions give developers, publishers, investors and visitors a formal meeting point with four major games markets. Each pavilion is backed by a government ministry, trade agency or diplomatic mission:
| Market | Organiser or sponsor | Professional value | Public-show timing |
|---|---|---|---|
| Indonesia | Indonesia’s Ministry of Creative Economy | Gateway to Indonesian studios, partners and public-sector representatives | 29 October–1 November; business access on 29–30 October |
| Japan | Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) | Access to Japanese companies and international business contacts | 29 October–1 November; business access on 29–30 October |
| Malaysia | Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation | Connection with Malaysia’s digital-game ecosystem and prospective partners | 29 October–1 November; business access on 29–30 October |
| United States | U.S. Embassy Bangkok | A U.S. presence for cross-border industry and investment discussions | 29 October–1 November; business access on 29–30 October |
The announcement adds these pavilions to those already confirmed. The organiser has not published a separate exhibitor list or meeting schedule for each new pavilion, so the table describes their announced institutional role rather than promising specific companies or deals.

What the pavilion expansion means for the industry
National pavilions are designed to concentrate a market’s companies and support organisations so that international visitors can identify partners quickly. The organiser presents the 2026 expansion as a bridge between Western studios and Southeast Asian markets.

A July 2026 event announcement described more than 35,000 square metres of space across four entertainment halls, a 20% increase in total event space compared with the previous edition, and a business area with booths from 19 countries and regions. Who should attend which part?
Developers and publishers
Plan for the 29–30 October business area if you need publisher meetings, investment conversations, pitching opportunities or regional partners. The national pavilions provide a practical way to start those conversations, while the conference and reverse-pitch sessions add structured networking.
Investors and service providers
Invest Circle, VIP XPerience and the business booths are the most relevant parts of the programme. Bring a concise project deck and clear information about your market, funding needs or publishing goals; the event’s professional format is built around scheduled and informal meetings.

What is confirmed—and what is not
- Confirmed: the four additional pavilion sponsors, the 29 October–1 November dates, the Bangkok venue, the business/consumer split and the headline attendance and business figures reported for 2025.
- Confirmed: ticket sales and exhibitor-space opportunities are available through the official event site.
- Not yet detailed in the announcement: the complete company roster inside each new pavilion, individual meeting schedules, ticket prices and the final day-by-day stage timetable.
For organisations deciding whether to exhibit, the relevant opportunity is the event’s exhibitor-space programme. For visitors, the practical next step is to verify ticket type, access rules and the final schedule before arriving at Queen Sirikit National Convention Center.
