Tokyo-based Japanese brand Galleria has introduced the NSC5L-IG-C4, a laptop weighing approximately 1 kg and powered by Intel’s 12-core Core Ultra 5 125U. Configurations are reported to offer up to 32 GB of soldered LPDDR5 memory and up to 2 TB of NVMe storage, with an M.2 slot allowing the storage drive to be expanded.
What the Galleria NSC5L-IG-C4 offers
The NSC5L-IG-C4 is positioned as a lightweight productivity laptop in Galleria’s N-series. The launch report published by Notebookcheck on October 16, 2026, lists an approximate weight of 1 kg, making portability its clearest headline feature. Galleria describes its N-series as focused on practical performance, high-resolution displays, and Japanese assembly and inspection.

How Intel’s 12-core design works
The Core Ultra 5 125U does not contain twelve identical high-performance cores. Intel’s hybrid design combines two performance cores, eight efficient cores and two low-power efficient cores. The processor has 14 threads in total and reaches a maximum turbo frequency of 4.3 GHz.
What that means in everyday use
The performance cores handle demanding foreground work, while the efficient and low-power efficient cores are intended to process background and lighter tasks with lower energy demand. The 12-core label therefore describes the complete CPU core count, not twelve desktop-class performance cores. Actual speed and sustained performance will also depend on the laptop’s cooling system, firmware and power settings.

Processor power figures are not battery-life results
Intel lists a 15 W base processor power and up to 57 W maximum turbo power for the Core Ultra 5 125U. Those figures describe the processor’s operating limits, not the power draw or battery life of the complete Galleria laptop. No independent battery test or complete-system benchmark has been established for the NSC5L-IG-C4.
Memory and storage: choose RAM carefully
RAM is soldered
The launch information specifies up to 32 GB of LPDDR5 memory, with the RAM soldered to the motherboard. It cannot be replaced or upgraded later. Buyers should select the required capacity when ordering: 16 GB may suit office work and ordinary multitasking, while 32 GB provides more headroom for large spreadsheets, development tools, virtual machines or creative applications.

The M.2 slot makes storage more flexible
Storage is reported at up to 2 TB of NVMe capacity. Unlike the memory, the storage uses an M.2 slot that can be expanded, so an owner can replace the installed drive with a larger compatible NVMe SSD if the chassis and drive specification permit it. Confirm the supported M.2 form factor and any service restrictions in the final regional documentation before buying an upgrade.

What is not yet confirmed
The available launch information does not establish a complete display specification, port list, battery capacity, measured battery runtime, independent performance results, final retail price or broad availability outside Japan. Galleria’s positioning mentions high-resolution displays, but a specific panel resolution, refresh rate, brightness and color coverage should not be assumed until the retailer or regional product page lists them.

- Multitaskers: the 12-core hybrid processor and optional 32 GB memory provide substantial capacity for productivity workloads, subject to cooling and software optimization.
- Long-term upgraders: the M.2 slot offers a storage path, but the soldered RAM sets a permanent memory ceiling.
