The Galaxy Z Flip7 is a clamshell foldable with a useful cover screen; the vivo X300 Pro is a conventional flagship phone whose listed specifications emphasize a telephoto camera, larger battery and faster charging. Choose based first on whether you want a phone that folds shut, then weigh the camera and battery claims against your priorities and local model details.

Form factor: foldable convenience or a conventional phone?

The Galaxy Z Flip7 folds in half. Its 4.1-inch external screen lets you check information and use supported features without opening the phone, while its 6.9-inch main display unfolds for full-size use. Folded, it measures 75.2 × 85.5 × 13.7mm and weighs 188g, according to Samsung’s announcement.

The vivo X300 Pro is described as a conventional slab in the comparison listing, without a cover display. That difference is more important than a small diagonal-screen-size gap: the Flip7 offers a compact folded shape and a second screen, while the vivo has a single, always-open phone form. The vivo form-factor description is from a secondary comparison source, so confirm the exact regional model before buying.

Samsung’s official specs are available on its Galaxy Z Flip7 product page and in its launch announcement. The vivo figures are secondary-source listings, not confirmation of every market’s configuration.

Which phone has the better camera?

The X300 Pro has the more extensive listed camera hardware: a dedicated 200MP telephoto camera alongside main and ultrawide cameras, plus a 50MP front camera. The Flip7’s listed rear setup is a 50MP wide camera and 12MP ultrawide, with a 10MP selfie camera. On paper, the vivo gives more camera roles, particularly for telephoto shooting.

Those resolutions do not establish which phone takes better photos or video. The available sources do not provide a controlled head-to-head camera test. For a decision based on image quality, look for independent comparisons using the same scenes and conditions rather than treating megapixel totals as a verdict.

Battery and charging: specifications are not runtime tests

Samsung states that the Flip7 has a 4,300mAh typical battery; its rated capacity is 4,174mAh. Samsung says the phone can reach up to 50% charge in around 30 minutes with a 25W adapter and a 3A USB-C cable. That estimate is conditional on the specified equipment.

The comparison listing gives the vivo a 6,510mAh battery and 90W wired charging. These are secondary-source specifications. A larger capacity or higher charging wattage does not translate directly into proportionally longer battery life or a guaranteed charging time. No controlled comparative battery-life test is available in the cited material.

Price difference: check the local offer and exact configuration

There is no single reliable price difference to apply across markets: third-party India-oriented listings disagree. On October 7, 2026, the 91mobiles comparison page displayed ₹92,999 for the Flip7 and ₹119,999 for the X300 Pro. A Gadgets Now comparison page showed offer prices of about ₹1,09,999 for the Flip7 and ₹1,09,998 for the vivo, while also listing a separate ₹1,19,999 vivo list price. These are volatile snapshots, not guaranteed current retailer prices.

Check the price of the same storage tier, seller, warranty and regional model before comparing. The vivo launch-period prices reported by Android Central were for China configurations: CNY 5,299 for 12GB/256GB, CNY 5,999 for 16GB/512GB and CNY 6,699 for 16GB/1TB; a photography-kit bundle was listed at CNY 8,299. Those launch figures are not current global pricing.

Samsung announced the Galaxy Z Flip7 on July 9, 2025, with general availability starting July 25, 2025. The cited comparison listings give different December 2025 dates for the vivo launch, so they do not establish one unambiguous release date across markets.

Which should you buy?

  • Choose the Galaxy Z Flip7 if you specifically want a foldable clamshell, a phone that folds into a compact shape, and a cover screen for quick access.
  • Consider the vivo X300 Pro if you prefer a conventional phone and prioritize the listed dedicated telephoto camera, higher battery capacity and faster charging specification. Verify your region’s model and look for independent camera and battery testing.
  • Compare local listings carefully if price is decisive: match storage, seller, warranty and regional compatibility rather than relying on a headline price from a comparison page.

The specification and price sources are 91mobiles’ comparison listing, Gadgets Now’s comparison listing and Android Central’s launch-period X300 Pro review.
