A new rumor says Samsung may equip the Galaxy S27 Ultra with Qualcomm Snapdragon silicon in every market, leaving out the Exynos 2700. That is not a confirmed Samsung specification: recent reports conflict over whether the company has decided, and no official S27 Ultra chipset or regional allocation has been announced.
What the new rumor claims
SamMobile reported on October 11, 2026, that a South Korean Naver blogger claims the Galaxy S27 Ultra may use Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon exclusively. The report says no Exynos 2700 allocation has been made for the Ultra, even though other rumored Galaxy S27 models may use that Exynos chip. SamMobile cautions that it is too early to be certain. Sammy Fans reported a similar possibility on October 9, also attributing it to Naver blogger Lanzuk. That is another account of the rumor, not official confirmation or independent proof of Samsung’s decision. Read Sammy Fans’ report.

Why the reports do not settle the question
An earlier SamMobile report, published October 2, said Samsung’s mobile division had not made a final decision. It described a possible regional split, with Snapdragon in some markets and Exynos 2700 in others. The report attributed differing views to Samsung’s System LSI and mobile divisions, and said performance, cooling, and cost were factors under consideration. Neither report establishes Samsung’s final choice or a market-by-market lineup. The Qualcomm-only claim is newer, but newer reporting does not by itself make an unconfirmed rumor official.
What Qualcomm’s Galaxy S26 statement tells us—and what it doesn’t
Qualcomm’s FY2026 second-quarter earnings presentation says its “decades-long strategic partnership” with Samsung strengthens with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy powering the Galaxy S26 series. This confirms Snapdragon’s role in the previous Galaxy S generation, not the S27 Ultra’s processor or whether every S27 Ultra region will use the same chip. Qualcomm announced Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 and 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 on September 22, 2026. TechRadar noted that official information identifying which phones would use either chip was not available at publication, and included the Galaxy S27 Ultra only among rumored devices. Has Samsung confirmed the S27 Ultra processor?
No official Samsung confirmation of the Galaxy S27 Ultra’s chipset or regional allocation appears in the reports and official material cited here. For now, the accurate answer is that the Ultra may be Snapdragon-only, but an Exynos option—or a regional mix—has not been ruled out by an official specification.
