Samsung has not announced Galaxy S27 prices. As of October 9, 2026, reports offer conflicting rumors: one set of U.S. targets keeps the base S27 and S27+ near the S26’s launch prices but puts the Ultra higher, while another suggests increases across models or storage tiers. The S26’s published U.S. prices are the reliable benchmark—not a confirmed forecast of what the S27 will cost.
How much might the Galaxy S27 cost?
An October 8 report from Android Authority relayed a tipster’s claimed U.S. targets. These are rumors, not Samsung prices.
| Rumored model | Claimed U.S. target | Context |
|---|---|---|
| Galaxy S27 | $899 | Reportedly matches the S26’s original starting price. |
| Galaxy S27+ | $1,099 | Reportedly matches the S26+’s original starting price. |
| Galaxy S27 Ultra | $1,399 | Higher than the S26 Ultra’s $1,299.99 launch starting price. |
| Galaxy S27 Pro | $1,299 | A rumored tier; Samsung has not announced this model. |
The report says memory costs could affect these targets. It does not establish final prices, configurations, or whether Samsung will offer a Pro model.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsWhy are there also reports of price increases?
A separate September 30 Android Authority report relayed a Korean blogger’s claim that increases could affect multiple models and storage capacities. That account also points to memory costs as a possible factor. The broader claim conflicts with the targets above, which keep two models near S26 launch prices.

Tom’s Guide reported a Korean-market rumor of an increase in the higher 130,000-won range, along with higher storage-upgrade costs. That regional claim does not establish U.S. pricing. Currency conversion alone cannot account for regional pricing, taxes, or other differences, so it should not be treated as a U.S. prediction.
Memory and storage costs—and, in one report, chipset costs—are described as possible pressures. A separate configuration leak mentions LPDDR6 memory and UFS 5.1 storage for selected S27 tiers (GSMArena). These reports are not an official Samsung cost breakdown, and they do not prove that any component will raise the phone’s retail price.

What the Galaxy S26 actually costs in the U.S.
Samsung announced U.S. S26 launch starting prices and general availability on March 11, 2026: $899.99 for the S26, $1,099.99 for the S26+, and $1,299.99 for the S26 Ultra (Samsung Newsroom US). Those launch figures are not identical to the lowest-capacity S26 price in Samsung Electronics America’s March 2026 MSRP sheet.
| Model | Storage | U.S. MSRP on Samsung’s March 2026 sheet |
|---|---|---|
| Galaxy S26 | 128GB | $799.99 |
| Galaxy S26 | 256GB | $899.99 |
| Galaxy S26 | 512GB | $1,099.99 |
| Galaxy S26+ | 256GB | $1,099.99 |
| Galaxy S26+ | 512GB | $1,299.99 |
| Galaxy S26 Ultra | 256GB | $1,299.99 |
| Galaxy S26 Ultra | 512GB | $1,499.99 |
The launch announcement’s S26 starting price matches the 256GB MSRP, while the sheet also lists a less expensive 128GB configuration. The sheet lists a $200 difference between 256GB and 512GB for the S26 and S26+. Samsung says its listed prices can change without notice; these are dated U.S. MSRPs, not guaranteed checkout prices. What is confirmed about the S27—and when it might arrive?
The reviewed reporting does not establish a concrete S27 price or confirmed announcement date. PhoneArena’s S27 guide calls a January or February 2027 announcement probable, not confirmed. Treat both the timing and any price leak as provisional until Samsung makes an announcement.
Samsung’s first-quarter interim report provides confirmed context for the current generation: it lists 6.3-inch, 6.7-inch, and 6.9-inch displays for the S26, S26+, and Ultra, respectively, and identifies Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen5/Exynos 2600, Android 16, and One UI 8.5. It also notes the Ultra’s thinner, lighter design versus the S25 Ultra and its Privacy Display (Samsung Q1 2026 interim report). These S26 details can help frame whether to upgrade, but unconfirmed S27 features cannot yet show whether waiting will offer better value.

Should you buy the Galaxy S26 or wait for the S27?
If you need a phone now
The released S26 family is a real option with published U.S. prices and configurations. Compare the exact S26 model and storage you would buy with the corresponding S27 tier only after Samsung confirms its lineup and pricing.

If you can wait
Waiting preserves the option to compare the S27 with the S26 once official details are available. The likely January or February 2027 timing is only a reported expectation, so do not plan around it as a confirmed launch date.

- Please note, this device does not support E-SIM; This 4G model is compatible with all GSM networks worldwide outside of the U.S. In the US, ONLY compatible with T-Mobile and their MVNO's (Metro and Standup). It will NOT work with other CDMA carriers, and it is also not compatible with their MVNO (Visible, Xfinity Mobile, US Mobile, Cricket Wireless, etc).

For additional hearing aid compatibility information, please refer to Samsung’s official support documentation.
- Camera: 50 MP, f/1.8, (wide), 1/2.76", 0.64µm, AF | 50 MP, f/1.8, (wide), 1/2.76", 0.64µm, AF | 2 MP, f/2.4, (macro). Battery: 5000 mAh, non-removable | A power adapter is NOT included.
Calculate the price you would actually pay
- Compare like with like: same model tier and storage capacity, not just the cheapest price in each generation.
- Use U.S. prices for a U.S. purchase; a Korean-won rumor is not a U.S. quote.
- Check current official MSRPs or retailer checkout prices instead of converting a rumor into a forecast.
- Account for trade-in, carrier, or preorder offers only after checking their actual terms. No S27 promotion is verified in the cited reporting.
A higher list price would not by itself prove a higher net upgrade cost; the final amount depends on the offer and configuration available when you buy.
