The vivo X300 FE lists the larger battery and higher-resolution front camera; the Samsung Galaxy S26 is lighter. Both have displays around 6.3 inches, but the listed specifications alone cannot establish which phone lasts longer, takes better photos, or offers better value. For India, Samsung’s launch price for the 12GB/256GB S26 was ₹87,999; a matched current vivo price is not established here, so there is no reliable current price difference to quote.

These are manufacturer-published specifications, not independent test results. The comparison does not establish relative display quality, camera performance, battery endurance, sustained speed, or software experience.
Which phone is the better fit?
Choose based on battery capacity and front-camera resolution
The X300 FE has the larger listed battery capacity, at 6500mAh versus 4300mAh, and a 50MP front camera versus the S26’s 12MP front camera. Those figures may help narrow a shortlist if capacity or front-camera resolution is a priority, but they do not prove longer real-world battery life or better-looking photos.
Consider the S26 if lower listed weight matters
Samsung lists the S26 at 167g and vivo lists the X300 FE at 191g, a 24g difference. That makes the S26 the lighter option on the published specifications. Both displays are approximately 6.3 inches, so screen size alone does not distinguish them much.

Compare camera layouts, not just megapixels
Both phones list a 50MP main camera and a 3x optical-zoom telephoto camera. The S26 lists a 10MP telephoto and 12MP ultra-wide; the X300 FE lists a 50MP telephoto and 8MP ultra-wide. The vivo also lists a 50MP front camera, while Samsung lists 12MP. Megapixel counts and lens specifications do not show how the phones perform in real scenes, so use independent sample comparisons if image quality is decisive.
Check the processor variant for your market
Samsung specifies two possible S26 processors: Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy or Exynos 2600, depending on market. vivo India lists Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 for the X300 FE. Confirm the exact regional S26 variant before relying on a performance comparison; these processor names alone are not a benchmark.

What is the price difference in India?
There is no defensible current, like-for-like price difference established by the available official figures. Samsung’s India launch announcement listed the Galaxy S26 at ₹87,999 for 12GB/256GB and ₹107,999 for 12GB/512GB. These are launch prices, not a promise of today’s checkout price. Samsung’s India store page displays current offers and stock information that can change; the retrieved official vivo page does not establish a matching current India retail price.
To calculate a useful difference, compare the same storage tier and market, then check both sellers’ prices on the same date. Include local warranty and any applicable offers in the comparison. Do not subtract a Samsung launch price from a vivo price from another date, storage configuration, or country.

How to make the final choice
- Confirm the exact models and market. Check the regional processor variant for the S26, local network compatibility, and warranty coverage.
- Match storage and current checkout prices. Compare the same storage capacity in your country and account for offers that apply to you.
- Decide which trade-off matters most. The listed specifications favor the X300 FE for battery capacity and front-camera resolution, and the S26 for lower weight.
- Look for independent evidence on the remaining questions. If battery life, camera results, sustained performance, or display visibility will decide the purchase, compare tests of the exact regional versions rather than inferring a winner from specifications.
